So, there's this girl who goes to my Sixth Form called Madi. For the sake of background information: she is the most frustrating person I know. She consistently makes banal comments about what the teacher says during lessons and plays her guitar in the Common Room while we're trying to talk.
So, today, in philosophy we elected to watch a movie. The issue with Madi is that, for as long as I've known her, she appears to be socially oblivious. Not because of some "issue" but out of simple attention-seeking selfishness. So, here's what happened:
- She refuses to sit on chairs (because they are "boring"), so she sits on a table. The table happens to be right in front of me and obstructs my view of the movie so I say, "Madi, could you move please."
- She gets off the table, pulls her guitar out and asks the teacher if she can go to the music room to play it in solitude. She is allowed and she leaves.
- Five minutes later she returns because there was a Year 9 class in the music room, she sits on table right next to me and a girl called Gee. She begins to play softly.
- Gee tells her to go into the smaller practice room. She obliges and leaves.
- Twenty minutes before the end of the lesson, she returns, sits at the front on one of the tables and plays her guitar. It gets progressively louder towards the end of the lesson, and almost everybody is getting visibly irritated.
- Five minutes before the end, she gets up and starts walking around the table while playing. I turn to her and just flat-out say: "Will you stop playing that fucking guitar. We're trying to watch a movie; nobody gives a shit about how good you are or what you can play. You're being a nuisance."
- She storms out of the room.
TL;DR: A girl was playing her guitar during a movie, so I told her to shut the fuck up.
