BI did have some good elements, but the story was too...fantastical in a way. Quantum theory, parallel timelines, "magic" Vigors. LoU had an extremely possible premise (the infection was based of a fungus that exists and currently infects insects, look up zombie ants), very relatable, and HUMAN. It isn't about a dude who cross dimensions the universe with *SPOILER* his daughter from another timeline to find out he is the final boss and gets drowned by her*END SPOILER*. Last of Us is about a viral species jump that costs humanity the world and Joel his daughter and family. He struggled with survivor's guilt and pure parental despair for 20 years before finding a little girl who very much stokes a fatherly sense of protection in him, even if he doesn't acknowledge it first to even himself. I though Bioshock Infinite was a good game and fun story, but Last of Us was far a better game (in terms of the playing part, Infinte's combat was extremely repetitive and boring) and the storyline was far more relatable and emotional than Bioshock. Just my opinion of course.

  • I guess in a way the two storys are very similar on an emotional level. Both feature a man who lost his daughter and has nothing left to lose, and they develop a relationship with a girl who fills the void that the daighter left, the differences lie at the point where elizabeth is bookers daughter and ellie isnt joels daughter. I just related more to Booker because he managed to maintain some of his morals and made up for his mistakes in the end, where as joel forsool the human race for ellie, and even tho that is heartwarming, gos against the decision i wouldve made in the end, and even though joel is a very real character, I had problems relating with him.
