I have a hard time not agreeing with this, especially after this last election. Making it easier for illegals to become citizens really offers 0 benefit to the country.

yea ll the money from the new legal citizens and the resulting taxes will do the country 0 good......

You are aware that there are born US citizens that work under the table right? But lets say that by some fanciful logic all of the illegals are made into US citizens, and they all start working legally for taxable wages. Yes the country will get a nice influx of tax dollars, but many of them still do not support the economy as they send much of their money back home. Not to mention the possiblity of their use of government/state funded services which will render their tax contribution relatively nil. The potential benefit isn't really worth the potential costs, unless you a politician and love that Latino vote.

You are right, it doesn't benefit the country. Obama doesn't care about america he cares about having power and having people respect him, including his successors.
