Welcome to the future of Destiny. Like one content creator said, his faith in Bungie started to waver when they changed their motto from, "we make games we want to play." To ,"We create worlds that inspire friendship." I knew the soul of the company was lost. I held out for hope but it just isn't there anymore. And it shows in the community, people gating things from other people because of arbitrary veteran reasons. Instead of trudging through it with them despite it costing valuable time. They feel they've earned it and therefore everyone else after them has to suffer as well. It's all so toxic and supported by the executives in charge. Again, the soul and humanity is lost. What is left is nothing but a shell and the monster it has become from something that was once great.

If it gives you any hope, when I get bored, I'll go into fireteam finder and 'search all' in the far right option (think it's called 'other'). I've noticed bunch of new light/returning players need help with basic -blam!- but for them, it's hard cuz they dont know what's good to use. Crazy part is, when I ask them if they got the free rite of nine 2020 armor and wep, they have no idea what I'm talking bout 😂 so I just show them the spot after and tell em to watch yt vid on rest. U can see it all in my game history lmaoo.

The "community" consists of many diverse groups. Some love all the puzzles/mechanics and the comms necessary to run those activities. Others just want to shoot aliens or other players but want to do that with the best gear. Problems occur when those groups meet up in activities as their mindsets and goals differ. If Bungie provide a wide variety of activities to get tier 5 gear then maybe these groups will encounter each other less. 🤷

Haven't you already wasted the money on a DLC you haven t played yet? Just cancel it and wait till it releases and then work out if you want to buy it or not after watching some game play. You go around calling others toxic while ironically being quite toxic yourself. If a majority of the community is so dysfunctional and anti social, then accept your perception of most of the community and choose how to proceed. Either play or don't, buy or preorder or don't. Making numerous threads about this won't help you resolve whatever issues you have.

Because people play to solve the game, not because they enjoy playing. They seek to optimize everything. Once its solved, they move on to the next puzzle. If you don't KWTD your not optimal. When a new mission,dungeon, raid, is launched you have maybe a couple of weeks when there are many people willing to help or try to go on in blind. Then there are the people too proud to ask for help. So they posture and demands others Know What To Do.

Okay so cancel it then. We don’t care. You haven’t actually outlined anything that is anyone else’s problem yet. Nor anything that is anyone else’s fault.

That is any gaming community… I’d suggest staying away from groups that have the “KWTD” in their post… you’ll eventually get lucky.
