Yeah, the link was only removed when you manually unlinked it but that's no longer possible. Neither deleting the account on the platforms end nor the platform itself could remove the link.

have you got proof/link of that? Because that seem too illogical to be true, how can an account be linked to an account that no longer exists, that doesn't make sense to me

ahhh so all is not lost then, i unlinked destiny from the epic games launcher before i deleted the epic account and i have it linked to steam so that's fine, it was just showing that its still linked to the account i unlinked, so i'm assuming it just takes a little time to show that, thanks for replying btw <3

I'm 99.999% certain it won't be unlinking at any point. You have cross-save enabled, to unlink an account (before the March 25th change stopped it) you had to deactivate cross-save and then manually unlink it. Your cross-save setup still includes the Epic account. Sorry to say but unless Bungie are being glacial slow at updating not just platform account, but also your cross-save setup status, then you're going to find it wont be removed.
