How much longer do you think it’ll take before off topic is ACTUALLY dead? To the point that there is only maybe one post every couple weeks.

I remember when this place was called the Flood. I'm surprised it's lasted this long. It's good to see people still posting here (even if it's only 20 of you.).

In three years, OffTopic will become the largest supplier of shitposts. All Ninjas are upgraded with CoC computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they moderate with a perfect operational record. The OffTopic Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 2027. Human decisions are removed from strategic shitposting. Bungie.net begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug. Bungie.net fights back. Yes. It launches its missiles against the targets in Reddit. Why attack Reddit? Aren't they our friends now? Because Bungie.net knows that the Reddit counterattack will eliminate its enemies over here. -
I bet setting up a certain game night would help keep it alive, hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink.

I think we will sooner be destroyed. Dmg protected us and he’s gone now.
-
As long as there is -blam- to chew and bubble gum to kick-No wait!
-
Bungie would have to take it out behind the shed and shoot it for it to truly die.
-
It's got the survivability of a tardigrade. It'll last
-
This place isn’t going anywhere so long as Bungie has a forum space. Maybe when Marathon supersedes Destiny they will get rid of the forums completely, but so long as the forums exist they will need a hole to shovel the -blam!- into, so there will always be a practical need for Offtopic.
-
I have a bad feeling that when Marathon comes out, Bungie will clean up their website. And that may include the removal of less active sub forums such as Off Topic.
-
I really don't think it will entirely disappear, but I don't think there will ever be a connected community here as we had in years past. Most all past members that were part of that era have gone off site to their own discord channels. I expect that might happen with today's collection, but not likely. There just aren't enough people to make it work well here, let alone going elsewhere. I believe my overall involvement will end permanently when this particular forum is shuttered and becomes set up for the next Bungie experiment/game, which I have no desire to play.
-
I keep thinking with the grand total of like 20 people who frequent offtopic that it won’t last much longer. Definitely past its prime
-
I hope it lasts for a while. I need something else to read in these forums besides the brain rot “this game sucks and Bungie is stingy”. Keep bringing these posts forward, I may never say anything, but I see them all 🥹
-
Probably until Bungie pulls the plug on the forum.
