Balance your Sandbox

Bungie I hate coming off a place of frustration, but here goes. I really don't understand the thought process in your pvp sandbox other than to just infuriate your player base and force them to only play a certain way and be punished for it. This game is supposed to have a ton of variety yet you're forced into a meta or get destroyed. At the very least shake up the meta so its fresh from time to time. First overshield titan is way too strong they already build into resilience creating a situation where I already am at a disadvantage because they have more health than me just because they build into resilience and then you add an overshield on top of it creating an even more disadvantage where I have to not only hit them more, and land more headshots and they have to hit less against any other subclass. Its over powered and over used and it not fun to play against. Even the void titan barricade has too much health. It shouldn't take 2 mags of a primary or 2 shotgun or 2 heavy gl shots to take out that thing. Its an easy way of getting res for them with no counter to it. Unless you want to blow your whole special against it which you need to have a chance of fighting the extra health + overshield. Its not fair to your other players who want to play something else instead of just titan all the time or even your titan mains who don't want to only play void. You also need to think of better or different ways to play this game then capture an objective so that bubble isn't the free round or tie breaker win. It literally is the automatic win for an objective that you have to stand on. Which again is not fun to play against. Forcing you to push another bad situation and lopsided balanced of a situation. At least Well you can shoot them to prevent a res or stop an objective, or just outright kill them with team fire or a sniper shot. With Bubble the only counter is to push into a really bad situation with the only counter being conditional and hoping you can land enough pellets to freeze melee them or not get shotgun'd or have everyone in the bubble beat you like bouncers at a club with punches. It needs a counter to it. Get rid of the free overshield, make it easier to break, something. Also get rid of the melee lunge on all classes because your servers quite serious cannot handle it! It's impossible to hit them when they are rubberband melee-ing all over the place. Yes you got rid of the exotic, but it's still built into arc and void titan and doesn't need to be there. I don't know if the leader of the sandbox team is a titan main or something, but a huge majority of the player base are tired of the one sided favoritism. Not that I don't have issues with other classes. We have 3 classes who each have 5 subclasses and some of those have a ton of customization or multiple supers. If a huge majority of the playerbase is only picking 1 class and that 1 exact subclass there's obviously a problem. Lets make this game fun and lets us use that variety in the game to make it fun to play all these classes and subclasses without feeling like we are getting punished for not running this 1 specific class. That is literally one of the best things about destiny is the variety and all these different ways to play the game. Its what made us fall in love with the game! We lose that if we feel like we are forced into this one playstyle. Hunter Strand super needs a buff in health. I figure you guys were worried about its mobility or something so you gave it low damage reduction, but it literally loses out against every single super. Requiring 2 hits which every other class can do faster or in 1 hit roaming or not. Like it needs to hit faster or harder one of the 2 to give it a chance. Plus its so easy to shut down without a super even I know I can't shotgun melee or just shotgun a ton of roaming supers in the game, but this one is a cake walk to do or even easily primary it down. Just a bumb in health or damage reduction would be life changing for this super. Nova Warp has the exact same issue. It's why nobody runs it. Golden Gun makes sense because it can kill almost at any range with 1 shot so it should be a glass cannon. These two supers (Nova Warp and Hunter Strand) you have to be in peoples face to hit so they need the DR. Threaded Specter is way too strong and does too much. It pulls aim assist (really strongly), radar manipulation, explosion damage, treadling damage, can act as cover. It does way too much for an ability with high uptime. Threadling also travel way to far, and hit for a ton of damage, and more often then not you can't destroy them like there's some registration problem or something. It's another one of those super frustrating to play against things that everybody is already sick of. Arc Warlock Arc Surge melee needs to have some kind of counter or disadvantage to it. It has a huge AOE and is just a free hit for a good portion of damage. While you are unable to hit them. "Short Range Weapons" have too much range. Smgs and sidearms are supposed to be close range options, but they hit and kill so fast from an absurd distance that they are no longer a close range option; they are an all map any situation option. Smgs have been the kings of the meta for way too long now and I feel like if you finally real them in on the range department sidearms will just replace them so reel them in at the same time. I shouldn't be getting destroyed by them from auto and pulse rifle ranges. Speaking of too much range fusion rifles are dumb for how far away you can map someone with a voop from a fusion rifle. They need the same treatment as shotguns where they have a range cap and once they try to hit someone past that cap it does 0 damage. They should have the same range as slug shotguns or SLIGHTLY more. Considering they do not require a crit though I personally think slug shotgun range is fine. I know someone is going to make the argument that you have to charge them, but you also do not require a crit to kill and can kill faster than any primary and from a distance of a primary. Bows are another; especially wish ender, they do so much damage for a primary that they might as well be sniper rifles. The damage needs to be reeled in or they need to be special weapons which I assume would be much harder to do. Just remove the wall hacks from wish ender please its not useful in PvE and is just broken to have Free Wall Hacks which is considered cheating if it wasn't built into the game that way; so why is it on there? There is also some damage registration issue with it where it takes a full sec or 2 to register the damage and in this game where the TTK is already super fast it's just super problematic. I know I am asking for a lot of nerfs in this post, but all I really want is some sort of balance. If something is really strong it should have a counter or disadvantage to it. Like Golden Gun is basically a glass cannon. It can kill anybody from any distance, l but it has no damage DR. That's balanced. or this gun might not have the fastest ttk, but its consistent. Handcannons are a great example. 140s can do an amazing job and get a fast kill, but to get it you have to hit all your headshots. 120s shoot slower and have a slower ttk, but they require 1 less crit. Again balance and trade offs. That's what I want and I'm sure I am not the only one.

    • I feel like sidearms are in probably the best place right now for the most part. Like they've got decent range if you can use them well, and maybe there's a couple of outliers I don't know about but they don't have the range SMG's have. Reel in SMG's and give it time to see if sidearms are really as close as you think rather than pulling sidearms back with SMG's. That would probably just kill sidearms in PvP since Bungie keep making SMG's stronger via absurd perks anyway.

      I agree with mostly everything tbh, except for the strand hunter super needing a buff. The whole class is busted and the super isn't great but can definitely be very powerful in the right hands

      Overshield barricade has less health than a normal barricade which was literally nerfed a few months ago wym too much health And you know some of what your saying is hyperbole about it or straight up wrong one conditonal shot eradicates it and can ohk the titan behind it Also did you just say the sandbox team has titan favouritism what kinda cope is that 20 nerfs in the past year more than any other class and you call that favouritism then you complain about titans picking that one subclass when hunter strand usage rates are higher and that’s with at least 4 hunter subclasses being viable in pvp compared to titans 2 maybe 3 at a push titans we have a more concentrated amount of good subclass and its still less used than strand P.s the problem isn’t gawdamn bubble outside of trials it’s a mid tier super after the series of nerfs it received, dominion is the only reason people complain about it and without that gamemode it’s avg at best Nerfing bastion any further than it already has been considering another void aspect entirely relies on it will leave arc a already heavily nerfed subclass as the only viable pvp subclass I wanna use more than one subclass in pvp and have them not be dogass like what warlocks and hunters have with multiple great options thank you very much actually consider a counter that wouldn’t kill the class isntead of just saying ‘ooh this too op die please’
