Throwing hammer wasn't the problem

Now that the change has set in, it still just feels awful. The problem has always been synthoceps or wormgods making it do insane dps. But rather than just removing their interaction with throwing hammer, with this nerf, Bungie now killed its potency when not using either of those melee buffing exotics because in harder content(legend or higher) it just doesn't kill enemies fast enough anymore. There has to be a better compromise than this, it just feels awful without an exotic buffing the melee damage by 165+%. Anything else, take away the cure, take away synthos or wormgods being able to buff it, just please revert the hammer delay. At this point id rather go back to pre solar 3.0

Sort of? Its base behavior before was still ridiculously powerful, and while I think the nerf might not have been the most elegant solution, it was justified. Roaring flames buffs the damage and makes it plenty viable in most content if your goal isn’t boss DPS, you pick it up off the ground infinitely, it generates sunspots which give restoration, you get infinite radiant, you can extend radiant and restoration infinitely, you get cure simply for picking it up. Like it was obviously a bit too strong. Problem is Solar Titan is nothing without old Loreley (in PvP) or Throwing Hammers in PvE. The subclass needs a redistribution of power.
