Old Gen Consoles Still Don’t have Fov slider
A current problem me and some friends have, that are still using old gen, is that we still do not have fov slider which makes the game much more enjoyable for those who like fast movement. I have played Destiny on pc and new gen and it just feels better having a wider view. If Fov slider was added it would for sure increase the old gen player base. Please consider adding it soon it hurts to see how much better the game is with Fov slider.

LoL they never will in d2. And honestly if I were you I would start saving my money to upgrade to a Next Gen console because I’m almost willing to bet that the ending of the Light and Dark Saga The Final Shape(most Likely) will be a Next Gen console/PC ONLY Comet Expansion. Meaning they’re going to stop offering new content to Old Gen Systems. Next Gen will have been out 4 years when The Final Shape is released. And before you say “it will never happen” It already has happened in D1 with Rise of Iron. Mark my words. The day is coming.

Higher FOV would lower frame rate due to the increased visual rendering requirements leading to rampant complaints seeing the frame rates capable on xbox one and ps4 are already quite low by todays standard. It sucks that the availability isnt quite there for current gen consoles but without upgrading you cant help the old tech struggling unfortunately.

5 RepliesBrother they are NEVER getting an FOV slider. Honestly, old gens need to be thankful they haven't been left in the dust yet. Bungie left behind the 360 and PS3 3 years into D1. We're 5 years into D2 and still hamstringing ourselves to decade old technology. If the PS5 and new Xboxs were mroe available, we probably would've already moved on.

Hardware limitations. You’re trying to make a go-kart go as fast as a Lamborghini.

Then go upgrade to ps5 or series x/s. The game performance would tank if they did that to last gen consoles.

“Old gen” would be PS3…and D2 doesn’t even exist on it 😉 “Last gen” is not gonna happen due to limiting factors. Also there are a -blam!- ton more issues than just FOV affecting last gen.

It will never be added to old generation machines. Upgrade and your problem is solved.

It's not gonna happen. The game is already sluggish and takes ages to load anything on outdated consoles. It's time to upgrade. The newer systems are back in stock, or get restocked more often than before.

Those consoles genuinely cannot support higher FOV. Get a new console.

2 Repliesyou are the reason PC players dislike cross play. We went from 2 second load times to i can go do laundry and make a sandwhich, come back and do it again by the time i load into anything. GO UPGRADE!!!!
