Upgrading Austinger. Which do you like better, Frenzy or Rampage, and why?

Frenzy for higher end content, rampage for everything else.

Reactive Reload 😎

Edited by Illuminary: 7/17/2022 1:22:17 PMTriple tap frenzy if you do GMs. Or outlaw frenzy, but even with primary ammo triple tap is good because you can just keep on shooting. But, I'd keep Austringer the pvp handcannon and get DFA with triple tap time payload for GMs.

I honestly don't like Frenzy on anything, it's too situational for the perk to activate , what qualifies has being in combat ?, it should activate has soon as you take or inflict damage but sometimes it doesn't You should know exactly how to proc a perk, it shouldn't be left up to the game to decide if you are in combat or not -
Pve frenzy Pvp if u can hit your shots rampage if not frenzy

I’d personally go with frenzy. Not needing a kill gives it a good nice in endgame content and rampage tends to feel wasted to me on a Handcannon. Explosive/Timed payload are probably better, but frenzy’s reload and handling bonuses are nice too. Up to you though.
-
For a hand cannon, rampage for sure
-
7 RepliesFrenzy is kinda awful tbh.
-
7 RepliesRampage will give you more uptime, Frenzy needs the rework that Adrenaline Junkie and Swashbuckler received.
-
Easy content rampage, harder content frenzy.
-
Rampage all day, everyday.
-
Frenzy in the long run ends up being more useful.
-
Frenzy. But mainly for pvp cuz im always hunting for combat engagements, passively or agressively, and i always need my weapon ready to reload for the next engagement. Handling and damage is a plus.
-
Frenzy. No question.
-
Frenzy. Because its a permanent x1 rampage and adds 30 or so reload and 30 handling.
-
2 RepliesFor PVE I made a roll with enhanced outlaw and enhanced rampage. With the rampage spec on it, rampage 3x is much easier to keep up as your moving from mob to mob.
-
I’m a big Frenzy guy. Probably my favorite perk in the entire game. I crafted my PvE Austringer with Triple Tap + Frenzy. (Didn’t choose Outlaw because the reload speed from Frenzy is already pretty good.)
-
Depends, rampage for low level content, frenzy for high level content where fights last longer.
-
Outlaw and Rampage for PVE
-
I tried both. I prefer Rampage. After your first kill, it immediately procs. Frenzy says you have to be in combat for some time before it procs. By the time it does, you may already be inundated with a horde of enemies, especially in Duality dungeon. People have been raving about Frenzy. It's not for me. But do try it out and see what fits your play style.
-
Rampage. frenzy is dog water
-
Frenzy. Although if you’re gonna use an HC in PvE, use Fatebringer
-
Rampage tbh. Frenzy takes too long to activate, and it goes away almost immediately after "leaving" combat
-
1 ReplyI’m personally going enhanced frenzy on mine. It might be less damage than rampage x3 but the conditions to proc frenzy are substantially easier to keep uptime on. Especially dealing with tanky enemies. Rampage timer just can’t keep up. Rampage on lower level content and frenzy on higher level content.

For PvE? Frenzy. For PvP? Frenzy for 3s, Rampage with Rampage Spec for 6s.
