3 RepliesEdited by ProbablyJosh: 3/9/2022 2:00:37 PMI have over a day in the raid and only 1 completion because I've had to teach it every. Single. Time. And people are just so unwilling to do anything other than add clear on top of hardly listening. I am done dealing with that and will only be taking people that know the encounters and I won't feel bad about it for a single second.

1 ReplyOkay, fine. No more "KWTD" posts. We'll just go with, "Must have Day 1 emblem and 50+ clears."

Edited by Bieltan: 3/11/2022 9:44:56 AMOnce I've got Rhulk down pat (hopefully after this weekend) I'll be doing sherpas. Its quite telling that groups formed to learn together seem to be avoided though. Almost like a lot of people refuse to put in the legwork themselves which honestly is just as much to blame for this situation as people -blam!- to ever teach. For anyone new to raiding -blam!- this - its ok to go in and not get a clear. Its part of the learning process. So long as you gain an understanding of what the team needs to do, and how to do it, you are learning. Speaking as one who teaches, teaching runs are made so much easier if people have been in and gotten their feet wet, regardless of clears. They know whats coming, what to expect, and they just need to be slotted into the strategy thats going to bring success. Tl;dr - get in there, give it a crack and dont sweat the clear. Clears will come. EDIT - r e f u s i n g is swear filtered, nani?! And another innocuous word too.... sigh

1 ReplyEdited by T_rar: 3/10/2022 12:53:08 AMI get it is frustrating, but honestly I feel like kwtd is misunderstood sometimes as "must have beaten the raid". You can kwtd by watching a few videos to help the group out. Good chance most people learned by this method and initially are just b.s.ing they "kwtd." There is no denying raids can be drawn out an unbelievably long time if a few people are clueless.

Theres this fun app i use its called discord and on there there's loads of people who are willing to teach, if you dont want to go into lfg ON DISCORD, thats your problem, there is a SHERPA tab, on there suprisingly you can find people that are willing to teach you the encounters of the raid. Also people put kwtd in posts, bc they dont want to do a raid for over an hour bc some monkey man doesnt know wtf is going on

You could also put up your own post. It isn’t hard.

Nobody joins? Wtf... Yes they do. You just don't wanna run with those other noobs because you don't wanna bang your head for hours. You're a hypocrite that just wants a carry.
-
From my experience, if you don’t put KWTD you get the worst of the worst. Even with KWTD, it’s a gamble. I haven’t done the new raid but I always do at some point and it’s definitely something I noticed when I join the KWTD runs. One wipe and it’s over or constant refilling cause checkpoints.
-
2 RepliesBruh if you have the seal then go solo the raid
-
1 ReplyMost KWTD groups won't actually have a problem taking you through as long as you're ready to listen and learn and have at least watched a guide. Just be honest with them. If a group won't take you, that sucks, but they're not obligated to help you. It's their group after all.

3 RepliesQuit -blam!-. Go through the learning process like everyone else. Some people have 6 clears and want to finish quickly with people who know every encounter. There are plenty…PLENTY…of posts that say “teaching”, “learning” etc. I have spent 3 hours on one encounter, waiting for people to learn…as well as 1 hour total on the entire raid. You can’t expect to be taught the encounters by 5 people carrying you quickly through the raid.
-
Going through the raid with a good team in maybe an hour and a half >>>> spending several hours with a bad team that keeps making the same mistakes only to end up with a checkpoint
-
You people are weird.
-
Just lie....
-
2 RepliesJust seen a dude post 'Vox master, please be 1570+ I want to do quickly' He was 1560. 20 levels under. I'm guessing the other guys spent a lot of time picking him up.
-
Elitists are usually scrubs that can't hold their own anyway.
-
“Make your own posts “ I mean if you did you wouldn't need to worry about what other people are putting in their posts.
-
Well considering it's VoD I wouldn't raid with you as well
-
Ok? And I know every encounter with 10 sherpas. What's your point? You can learn it by now if you really wanted to. Or as you said, just make your own post instead of coming on here and complaining
-
6 RepliesMy team will usually take all comers for the first couple months a new piece of content is out. This Raid isn't too bad to grasp for fresh eyes, as long as you aren't too dense to learn some pictures That being said, people on LFG don't owe anyone more time than they are willing to give. If there's a KWTD post, it usually means that group is looking to clear quickly, and that's fine. If you don't see any posts looking to learn or teach, post your own, plenty of people at this point are in the same boat and excited to learn too
-
1 ReplyEdited by knomey: 3/9/2022 3:16:39 PMYea and there’s tons of videos, Reddit posts, articles explaining how to do the raid. It’s not every ones fault your to lazy to grab your phone or computer to take 5-10 minutes watch a video or read a post/article before you attempt the raid. Within the first hour of contest mode Redditers already had a full guide on the first three encounters and how they worked and not even 3 hours later they had one for final boss Raids aren’t for every one it’s alright Also make your own lfg post it’s not hard. all I see all day long about people complaining about lfg with posts but they never make a team or post of their own. Make a group control the team it’s really easy and simple, and if you can’t work with randoms / teammates then I don’t think a 6 man activity where mics are required is your thing.
-
2 RepliesI signed on yesterday and got into 2 groups no problem….. I do this every raid with the exact same experience. What lfg do people use, honestly you see this complaint that has so little merit to it so it has to be whatever lfg people keep using
-
6 RepliesFacts! I remember in D1 most people were cool and willing to take the time needed for others to learn the raid, no matter how many times you had to watch Crota point his finger at you through the glass window. Granted those raids didn't have the annoying mechanics like now, but not the point. I haven't done a raid in forever and don't plan on it, I don't enjoy them anymore. The only way I would do a raid is if it was with some chill people who don't rage quit and cry the whole time. Doubt that would ever happen though. Because I don't "KWTD" and I'm not watching a -blam!- video of someone else playing a raid for a hour for me to get a chance to play, just teach people as you go.
-
They post that while the raid race is still going on.
-
1 ReplyAgreed, saw a post on the second day stating “20 clears or kick” lol wtf
-
Making your own post is a valid option. People can require whatever they want - they’re not obligated to teach. Yes this is unfortunate, but they can do what they want. Additionally, you could join one of many discords where people run them all the time.
