Please do something about the drop rate and perks of core playlist activity weapons
it's as simple as there's a lot of weapons that can drop from each core playlist activity, it's never guaranteed to drop one even if you win, and even if you get the one you want they have a MASSIVE perk pool that makes the chances of getting the roll you want less then 0.1%.
with the new Gambit scout rifle that came out this season the Servant Leader I was really excited to try and get one with the roll I wanted cause it's a kinetic rapid fire scout AND it could drop with my ideal roll of Rapid Hit + One For All, it was the PERFECT weapon. However I quickly realized the chances of me actually getting the gun with that roll. There was no point to even trying. very simple math can tell me that with 12 perks in each column and me wanting one perk from each column the chances of me just getting the perks I wanted on the gun are 0.08%, and that doesn't even account for the chance of just getting the gun to drop in the first place or the barrel, magazine, or masterwork. And I get it's not like the odds of getting a god roll on other guns are exactly anything better but the chance to get it on these guns is so astronomically impossible I might as well go try winning the lottery instead.
I would love to see some kind of targeted farming system of any kind for these playlist activities like maybe some kind of bounty you can do that when turned in is guaranteed to be a specific weapon or tie it into umbral engrams and let us decode them into gambit, crucible, or strike weapons. Just literally anything to increase the odds somewhat.

In my opinion..the playlists should get skeleton keys again. Use as consumable...get guarenteed playlist weapon. Instead of 50 blues over 15 matches.

14 RepliesThey are doing something, it’s called weapon crafting and it’s coming with the next major release. Bungie has already made it clear that this will allow players to control every perk on their weapons, so why are you complaining about an issue that already has an announced solution with a release date?

done 20+ 1320 and one 1350 and not even one drop of the nightfall weapon... bungies rng is -blam!-...

Better yet just give us a away to target farm. Like pick up a bounty for strike rocket kills and once completed get the royal entry

Artificial grind, put a bunch of useless perks on a weapon so you have to play more, only way anyone will play gambit though smart move on bungie.

Edited by Monkey: 9/6/2021 2:21:32 PMI went with 27 games of gambit to have 2 drop for me at once on my 27th game while l saw heaps of the fusion and smg's drop and one bottom dollar Both scouts that dropped for me both had unrelenting on them because the scout has like 20 different perks on the last 2 trees. real stupid by Bungie to add that many wont be going back to that lol

I'm with you my friend. Take the Bottom Dollar for example. There's over 140,000 possible combinations. Also 144 possible combinations just for the last 2 slots. 1 in 9000 chance in obtaining what you want. I hate it when I'm playing Gambit with friends while getting 2 or 3 blues after winning. Even with Gambit Prosperity on my Ghost. It's such a Joke. Bungie needs to lay off with the stinginess.

Vanguard sidearm and crucible auto rifle drop way too often. Pretty much got an auto after every ib game.

I see some mention of weapon crafting and while I do think it will help the issue I believe we don't know enough about the system to say how much easier it will make it to get the god rolls on stuff you want. And even if it helps witch queen is still 6 months away and I'd love at least some change sooner rather then later just to make it possible. It doesn't have to be a fancy new system or anything.

The massive perk pool was an issue when they got introduce... I feel like at least the rewards from those "faction" level engram have those and not just bad armor and world drop
