Is that just me, or do other hunters experience the same thing?
So i'm more annoyed by them than liking them sofar...

3 RepliesHunter problems… few and far between.
-
Solution: dont play a hunter.
-
You really don't need them, I swear they weren't there the last solstice. Tbh they are more a hindrance since they don't stop forward momentum like elevators and the vex cannons.
-
1 ReplyWhy use them then. If it isint your first solstice you should know plenty of faster ways.
-
As a Warlock it really messes with my Glide.
-
I haven't had them "take" any of my jumps per se, but they do cut any possible height to gain which is very annoying.
-
1 ReplyWtf is a solstice gravity cannon?

1 ReplyEdited by FL00FING AB0UT: 7/10/2021 6:28:35 PMI dislike the physics of them. Also, whoever made that one cannon that is on the second hop up on the left side building facing courtyard from spawn (you probably know the one) that elevates you directly into the building lip and shunts you outward, I disagree about it being a good choice to put it there.

4 RepliesNo idea I only use strafe jump (yes, even in jumping puzzle missions 😂)
-
13 RepliesThey eat all my jumps, I get no upward momentum from jumping even after peek height and it just eats all my jumps.
-
Yup. They make it as if you were falling. Meaning tripple jump turns into double jump.
-
It doesn’t steal any of my jumps. Both jumps deploy every time, but it robs momentum gained by the jump for no reason. It’s like they put an invisible ceiling that I slam my head into

Edited by Oryrk: 7/10/2021 2:30:45 AMAllow it carry you, then jump it's weird
-
Edited by Kiro - 13: 7/10/2021 4:24:59 AMI just avoid them. they actually make the map harder to traverse. Maybe its easier for new players that have not mastered destiny 2 movement. but the answer should not be "bot walk into them" as so many people have pointed out. But when your use to manipulating your velocity as a titan or lock or control your pitch as a hunter they feel more like obstacles.
-
Yep, they're broken. To use them effectively, you have to bunny hop onto them. Then once you're in the air, hit your jump button again and go from there. Walking onto it, boosts you up. Warlocks and titans require 2 button taps to activate their jumps and the boosters eliminate that first one. Hunter's can immediately transition to their 2nd jump - just like walking of a ledge. That's why they act all wonky.
-
Steals the momentum more like instead of adding on. I need to avoid these now since the jumping system was fine before.
-
It's broken for any class, Titan, Warlock or Hunter. It's pretty clear Bungle never tested this before. Frankly, I just avoid them now - they just screw things up.
-
For me it doesn’t take a jump it just pulls me back to the ground.
-
Yep, they don’t work very well. Definitely take getting used to.
-
Problem I have with them is once you land on it, you won’t get any jumps back So hunter go whoosh to ground
-
I see everyone praising the jump pads but as a hunter it cancels out your jump and can make you fall back to the ground. I avoid them now
-
2 RepliesAre your feet off the ground on the jump boosts? I don’t know since I have not played since it came out.
-
Same.. At first I thought I was some how messing up the timing, but then I realize I was only experiencing this when using these new jump boosts in EAZ and now I don't even use them anymore.
