Error code: BROCCOLI

After the latest hotfix (13.1.0.1), I had been having occasional problems with the game crashing to desktop and giving me the error code BROCCOLI. According to the Bungie help article, this is a GPU detection problem, and is likely caused by a driver crash. The recommended fix is to ensure GPU drivers are updated. I check and see that my NVIDIA drivers are not the most up-to-date (my operating system is up-to-date). I promptly update my drivers, eager to play again without crashes. Since updating my drivers (and a fresh reboot), I now am unable to load into any map. Upon starting Destiny 2, I now notice framerate drops at most transition points (which did not happen prior to updating drivers), and whenever I try to load into any map, I stare at black screen for 15-30sec before crashing to desktop. Has anyone else seen this problem and have any suggestions as the recommended course of action on the help article seems to have worsened the situation. Thanks.
