It’s not that bad. I know, I know it’s hot take to say that, but honestly I can’t see why people see it as bad. Yes I am “new light” but from season from arrivals to now, I would rather have what weapons we have now then those in arrivals. I know a lot a people might say “but we lost 300+ weapons” and my response to that is “yes, but did you really use all of them” I know that sound dumb, but in all honesty I don’t think I saw anyone using old weapons unless it had a busted roll or it was a pinnacle weapon. Though I don’t hear a lot of people complaining about these old weapons, instead it’s the pinnacle ones. Which makes sense if you grinded for this amazing guns only to be become utterly useless then I would understand, but they aren’t totally useless. They still work with two of the three activity. Gambit and crucible. Though the complaints are more toward pve sandbox like not using recluse and mountain top, but my question for you is this “Do you really want to be playing with recluse/ mountaintop another YEAR?” Cause that what would be happening if that was case. In which they either nerf or we have power creep, which I don’t think anyone want either of the options. This option of sunsetting is probably the best for these guns, not completely dominated the scene, but to take out every once and a while and give it a try. I think a good thing that most people are missing out is that this is a perfect time to find perfect roles for weapon, since it is a small pool (I won’t lie it kind is), you can find the god roll much easier now then ever before. That’s what I am doing with xenoblast right now cause I think it such a cool weapon. Also last thing I do believe sunsetting armor was a mistake though, but I have gone long enough over the weapon, maybe I will talk about armor another time. TLDR Sunsetting is not bad. The excuse of 300+ guns gone is not a good argument. Perfect to find god rolls with small loot pool. If I did make mistake in this let me know and I would love to hear other people’s opinion on the matter is
