Thorn vs. Stasis?
Thorn consumes Light, right? So if we're using the Darkness or Stasis, what the heck would Thorn do to us? Unless we're technically using Light and Dark at the same time, wouldn't Thorn not do lingering damage anymore because there's no Light to consume? Or is the poison, the "Devourer", part of the gun? Does anyone understand the lore enough to give a reasonable answer? I'm not that good with lore.

this always interests, what if ghaul invaded now with the red legiion and cut our light . we still have darkness, would we killed them and there with stasis?

The Thorn we create isn't Darkness enhanced like the original. It won't affect us any differently than before even while using Stasis.

thorn uses decay green, stasis is dark blue bot are dark based but solar isnt arc even tho both are light based.

2 RepliesCommon misconception. We aren’t just using Stasis. We are using both. This is a one or the other situation. Stasis does not a revival power. So Guardians still require Light to heal and revive. So Thorn can easily kill us still.

I'll bet you twenty glimmer it hits just as hard and hurts just as long whether we are drifter dark alignment or our normal light aligned.

If we somehow managed to block the Light out while using Stasis, our Ghost wouldn’t be able to resurrect us, or heal us. It’ll always be inside of us unless we get shot by a devourer bullet, then we’d lose our Light, even if our Ghost is alive. [spoiler]A devourer bullet shouldn’t be confused with the thorn-like bullets our Thorn uses. The bullet the Rifleman used to kill Cayde’s Ghost was a devourer bullet.[/spoiler]

Thinking about it, it doesnt matter, since thorn is gone and wont harm anyone anymore.
