The entire economy is a mess.
Part of me wants to think they don't know what they are doing, but that would just be me trying to fool myself. Bungie knows what they are doing and all of what is taking place with the BD, shards, and whatever is all planned out.
There are no "mistakes" in the actions they are taking. The game is now being designed to show numbers and not much of anything else. Anyone can see the drastic changes that took place the day masterwork cores were changed to enhancement cores. The game has only gotten worse with grid time over time and this company keeps looking and spending too much time looking for ways to extend that grind time instead of creating a quality type of game.
This is the worst I have ever seen this company try so hard to focus on what doesn't work for the game versus what actually works for the game, and it really bad.

I completely agree. I am a 1% in terms of play time, and the upgrade economy is still way to expensive. Their argument that enhancement cores will be cheaper at 30 legendary shards is ridiculous. They amount of legendary shards that will be required for a prism that Spider will sell is outrageously expensive. The upgrade economy is geared towards the top players and way to expensive for non-streamers who don't have the skills, time, weapons gear or mods to learn how to do a grand master NF. Myself and 2 others are the only ones in my clan who have completed one. This is a significant disadvantage to casual players. and it is about to get much worse.
