Bungie, thank you - finally - BL is something to look forward to.

Over the last few weeks, drip drip drip. Some previews, some changes (that some like, some do not - so be it) that are better for the health of the game. Then BOOM.
What many of us were looking for, the story - what will / could happen?
I see so much negative / whining - I have to say thanks. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more positive evolution.
(besides Trials - kick F2P, balance it better, ban cheats and carriers)

If you are that sour about the game, and don't play it - DONT COMMENT. LEAVE THE DAMN FORUMS, DELETE THE GAME YOU SAY SUCKS And let the rest of us enjoy it for FFS. I'm old and have little patience for you snarky whiny kids. If you wanna play another game, great, go do it. But without actually playing this, doing it all, and instead of being part of a community you try to TEAR IT DOWN. What is wrong with you?

It won't be good sorry to say. Bungie's past with this entry make it very clear. They aren't innovating. They haven't been innovating. Age of triumph in destiny 1 was as good as this studio can do. They added challenges to raids, which guaranteed exotic weapon drops, which were some of the best weapons ever created in the entire series so far. (The original raid weapons) I haven't touched this game since my first few hours of season of the worthy. Now it's all content and weapon removal. It's not worth supporting this IP anymore. The only way Bungie would learn a lesson is if Beyond Light was a financial flop. Which, judging by the forums, it probably won't be. So the mediocrity will continue. Good luck everyone. HMU when you need new games to play. It's relatively trivial to replace this title in your daily gaming line up.

Bungie has only ever been consistent at making a good video. The game itself needs an absolute ton of improvements. Id like for them to make the game something beyond mediocre but at this stage I don't think they have the ability. 5 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 10/27/2020 8:32:02 PMI'm not sure a story campaign most will only experience once, just 1 new strike, 1 patrol zone, 1 raid, and the obligatory new gear/subclasses being sold as a [b]fully priced AAA expansion[/b] is something you want to celebrate... especially when we're getting little to no new maps for the game's core modes. I personally think customers should set their standards a little higher when so much content is being stripped from the game in exchange. And no, that's not "entitlement". But hey, you do you.

There is basically no content. Its like 1 strike 1 raid and patrol zone. Ah and new subclasses. Go play those subclasses in old strikes and in old pvp maps.

Story of BL seems meh to me. I'll withold judgement but both Forsaken and Shadowkeep had amazing story but meh gameplay. BL is most likely going to the same. Season of the Hunt's story though will certainly be interesting. Uldren is back, Xivu Arath is doing something, Dreaming City has a purpose, and the event seems pretty interesting with the Hivefied enemies. Like a new take on the Taken.

Being skeptical is pretty important and it is healthy for the game to give negative feedback. But I'd say this bungie.net community is far too depressed to give the expansion a chance to potentially be good. Sure, there are reasons to be negative due to the history of this game and due to the (kind of long) period of time where it wasn't very good, the game had serious problems (which still exist) and where the devs kind of made some real mistakes, they also admit it. And of course, some people still allow themselves to be hyped or wait until it comes out to rate it but looking how extremely downvoted every positive posts gets you really see that the majority is just very negative, in almost an unhealthy way. I totally understand the frustration about sunsetting but some people are just letting it look it is way worse than it potentially is. At the end of the day they are the game designers and they follow a plan to give us motivation to have a (maybe artificial) grind and get rid of problems like powercreep. To get back to the topic, I'm very hyped. The destination looks very good, the story seems to be pretty deep and the subclasses will bring some fresh air into the gameplay. On the other hand I just hope that we'll get a decent pool of gear to acquire (specially after sunsetting), that the story quests will have some good length, the subclasses have many customizable options, that stasis won't destroy pvp and the seasonal concept to be a bit more enjoyable.

I assume you watched the ViDoc? I am definitely far more excited for the coming expansion after watching it 👍🏻 I love the direction of the storyline and Europa looks like an awesome new location, not to mention some of those exotics they exhibited and the way the stasis class will be able to be customized.... Yep. Excited.
