Every other token doesn't, and the hardest ones to get in the game that you can only use if you get 3 wins expire???

Whomever is responsible for Trials loot always being so stingy should rethink their life choices

Edited by Cal: 10/28/2020 9:07:15 PMThey wanted to make sure that every part of trials sucked. Matchmaking = sucks Repetitive maps = sucks Rewards = sucks token system = sucks Mission accomplished - Bungie dev who was like “ we don’t want this to come out half baked 🥴”
-
Because they wanted to fail the whole reward system for trials. So they took the time to think about how everytging tied to it could be half baked. This playlist is dead when it comes to incentive. And the perspective of getting some mods and slighlty better stats on guns most people dont use except for 1 or 2 wont make it better.

Edited by Gemini Trash: 10/27/2020 1:49:41 AMI still have my Trials of the Nine tokens. I saved 'em for season 4 trials, but little did I know 😂

The sooner Trials dies the better.

Osiris is a cheap man.

Needs to be a 1v1 trials or trials rumble

It's a cheap shot to keep you playing.

Token system sucks in general
-
To get you to GRIND, DUH! LOL....seriously, this is why.
-
I think the reason is to prevent people from stocking up tokens for when the item they want drops. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the engrams only give what's available that week, right? I don't really play trials so I wouldn't know without confirming it. Imagine if everyone just stocked up on tokens until Astral or Summoner were available (because they're basically the only ones worth grinding). We don't need two of the best PVP weapons becoming more common than pre-nerf Luna/ NF, especially when these weapons don't require even 1/3 of the grind, but just need you to win 3 matches when they're available or go Flawless otherwise, something a lot of people make look easy considering the stats of most people in regular PVP. If the tokens didn't expire, I'd see no reason for Bungie to not reprise any of the pinnacle weapons in their former glory.
-
They want players grinding non stop.
-
Cause it sucks and when it sucks it is good for the game...guess that is how they think
-
Atleast they shouldnt reset the progress on the engram from Saint 14. Put in 19 Tokens doesnt matter, next week you start from zero.
-
Blame token hoarders.
-
You can turn them in after you complete the bounty. I don’t think it requires 3 wins on one card does it?
-
“Hamster wheel! Gotta keep it moving baby!” -Bungie
-
Because bungie hates the casual players :< JK, but man does it suck. And yeah maybe bungie does hate casuals a bit... because it's so dumb that the only way for us to farm tokens is to play a ungodly amount of the worst, most cheater riddled mode in the game, like just let me do my bounties every week and save up tokens!! Who am I, with my measly, low K/D hurting???? The rich get richer I suppose
-
Artificial grind. There shouldn't be a cap but there is unfortunately which harms those who aren't as skilled to ticket farm weak players.
-
To "encourage" you to play more. To give you an "incentive". Bungie logic.
-
They want tokens to correspond to loot you earned by playing Trials that week. I think that is completely reasonable. The only change I would make is to allow you to convert Trials Tokens to Crucible tokens without needing 3 wins. This would a) allow all players to get rid of remaining tokens without feeling like it is a waste if they don't have exactly 20, and b) allow players that don't get 3 wins to have some kind of reward without the entire experience feeling like a waste. Imagine if tokens didn't expire. You would have people hoard tokens making the activity completely meaningless to do for rewards. Take Iron Banner for example, most players have thousands of tokens at this point and don't feel a need to play the game mode more than just finishing the quest each season. After that, they just buy whatever they want without playing the game mode. I'm not a Trials kind of guy, but I feel like hoarding tokens would ruin the loot system (although to be fair, the current loot system is not great to begin with).

They don't want players to hoard tokens
-
because they want you to play that mess. If tokens didnt expire you'd farm them over a weekend, and drop them on the next one, you wouldnt have much reason to be in trials. They want you to farm it over and over.
