Funy thing is that Destiny 1 is a game way harder than Destiny 2. Bungie just lost all tallented devs.

  • Is it though? I recall endgame content being extremely easy in D1, most of the people I knew could do raids because half of the people could be "add control" and one tap most adds. In D2 raids, you actually have to know what to do, killing adds along with doing mechanics. Most of the people I raided with in D1 won't step foot into it in D2 because they got harder and were less casual. What about content like Grandmaster Nightfalls where it takes numerous shots with a primary just to kill red bar adds. Not saying D2 is the hardest game out there, but it is definitely more difficult than D1.

  • You mean artificial difficulty. Bullet spongies are the laziest of the lazy designs.

  • Let's address raids and GM nightfalls separately. Raids: Raids are harder specifically because the bosses are not bullet sponges, they are harder because you actually have to know the mechanics of the raid. Take King's Fall for example, Warpriest was quite easily one of the laziest boss designs, there is tons of cover so you don't even have to worry about the boss shooting you. The mechanics are so braindead easy that anyone can figure out how to do it. The fight is prolonged solely due to the boss being a bullet sponge. The same can be said for most D1 raid bosses with only a couple exceptions. GM Nightfalls: While the level cap specifically is artificial difficulty, the real difficulty comes with added multipliers. Let's say you go into a Hero Nightfall 25 levels below which would be the same level cap compared to Grandmaster. The Hero Nightfall would be a cakewalk because there are less Champions and less modifiers.

  • Remember? Ole Smith said he tailored Destiny 2 because his little nieces were having difficult time keeping up with everything D1 had. It was simplified for the simpletons and children. Blame piggy for the shit show D2 was and still is

  • Was it? Once I get back to my Xbox I wanted to reinstall it for nostalgia. (Would have kept it installed if I wasn’t in the marines). I’m not challenging your claim my memory is just fuzzy

  • D1 is a lot more challenging than D2. They put training wheels on everything in D2😂
