A strange man walks into the tavern, who bears a striking similarity to John Watson. However, he takes the appearance of an elf and not a human, short and thin with obsidian black skin, white hair, and glaring red eyes. The man wears a heavy black travelers cloak and finely crafted leather armor. Hanging on his belt is a sword of a dagger befit a king. Their scabbards are well crafted and decorated with the designs of spiderwebs, the hilts are made of some polished onyx colored material, and the pommel of the dagger has a emerald set into it, whilst the swords pommel is carved to the likeness of a spider. He approaches the bar and takes a seat.
“I’d like a glass of wine. Anything made of underground plants or fungi. The world above has a strange taste in food and wine.”

Your wine randomly begins floating towards the seat next to you. It tips over as if someone was drinking it. The entire glass is drained before it is place back downwards.

“And I was looking forwards to that glass. By the goddess, what did I do wrong to deserve that, and what do you want? I haven’t kicked the table quite yet.”

“If you want something from the world you must take it yourself. Manipulate the world and make it your own. The wine was refreshing and I wanted it. Now what is it that you think you are doing?”

“What do I think I’m doing? Well I assume I am getting a drink. Am I Even doing that wrong, O master of the arcane arts?”

The invisible elf laughs haughtily. “Please keep on reminding me of those caves. Remind me of how I defeated you and always shall defeat you. Although I believe you are wrong. If I where to slay you then the wrath would have been much worse. Now there is much you are doing wrong. I wouldn’t even know where to start.”

*He draws his dagger, pressing it near where the mages throat would be.* “You would never always beat me, wizard. Your hubris would get the best of you and you’d eventually fall soon after you’ve sold yourself on the idea of being a god. If you aren’t here to do anything useful then what is it you want? Simply to annoy me.”

The wizard laughs upon the sight of the dagger. “What are you going to do fool. Remember how I [i]mislead[/i] you last time?” You think you will even hit me? And why am I here? Well of course, brother, I am here to assist you in whatever task you where sent here for. What is it you are doing up here? I am sure my assistance is necessary when you are involved.”

“Yes there is a matter I could use some help with. You could conjure me another drink, O grand archmage mine.”

“Information on what these lands are capable of as an ally or as something else. When you have all the resources up he you might as well find out how to use them.”

“And when you are slain by a warrior with a bigger pointy stick? When the light of the cursed beast in the sky defeats your skills? What then? I do not disbelieve in your combat skills but just be cautious.”

“I will not lose, at least not in a way that matters. You think I’d be unwise enough to to fight under the sky? The people of these lands seem keen on the concept of mercy, a weakness I have noticed fairly quickly.”

“Do not underestimate you opponent fool! They may be inferior in skill but they are vast in numbers. I cannot have you be defeated so easily.”

“I wouldn’t fight a battle I couldn’t win. And there is a difference between sparring and fighting, you wizards just don’t know how to use your skill to better that of another and vice versa.”

“By sparing a opponent to better your combat against then you are teaching them how to better fight against yourself. Be careful not to let others learn more than you will.”

“Perhaps I am teaching them what I want them to know and nothing more, or even false information on how to fight us. Do not think I don’t know what I’m doing, you focus on your arts and I’ll focus on mine.”
