It's difficult for me to understand why Bungie is so hesitant to fix Blink so that it doesn't stretch the user's hurtbox.
It's kind of depressing because Voidwalkers in particular kind of got shafted over the course of the game.
Nova Bomb (on both top and bottom tree) is outclassed by Blade Barrage in almost every way.
Nova Warp started out as a REALLY powerful super, but it got hit a little too hard and hasn't been touched since.
Really hoping Blink is fixed seeing as how Hunters are getting Shift, as it give a good reason to use Voidwalker over something like top tree Dawnblade.

Edit: Astrocyte Verse doesn't fix Blink; the user's hurtbox is still stretched throughout the animation. The hurtbox should only be present at the destination, not the trail.

Nova beats blade barrage for boss damage for sure, and doesn't suffer quite as much inconsistency that BB does. That being said, shift looks like phase shift from titanfall to me. I don't think it's meant as a movement option, but a getaway one.

I would say nova bomb is better than blade barrage or at least bottom tree nova bomb is better than blade barrage.

If they’re bringing back blink for hunters then Titans should absolutely get Twilight Garrison back. No if ands or buts.

Whether I agree with you on the warlock hit box or not, it's unfair to compare a jump ability to a class ability PLUS am exotic. One you can use every few seconds, the other you can use MAX once every 10 seconds, if you spec for mobility. People think this is game breaking, but it doesn't look too bad with the longer recharge time.

I think the reason Bungie is so hesitant to fix blink is the same as the reason they're so afraid to fix tether. To my knowledge, both dominated crucible back in d1. I think Bungie is probably afraid of them reaching that level of strength again.

Bungie's mentality with nerfs is "The community is complaining about something so we'll just kill it" and now everyone is unhappy. Half because people are pissed their loot got chooped and is near useless, And the other half will still be pissed if even a SINGLE guardian uses that shit to kill 'em even if it was nerfed so hard Blue weapons could compete with it. Bungie needs to think more about how they're gonna nerf stuff

It's just a form of movement and shouldn't be a gimmick to not get hit just because less people are using it. I can tell you right now that most people can't deal with blink shotty if you play on 10 sensitivity like me. I think the real problem is the intervals of cooldown between blink during Nova Warp. You get 3 off top then get 2 if you don't wait long enough then if your spamming to get the 3rd, you have to hard reset just to get the 3 consecutive. The hit boxes are fair IMO. If you use it late then it should be punished.

Blink isn’t in a terrible spot, it’s the extended hitbox that hurts it. If you can get around that it’s a great ability. Warlock main.

All blink really needs is the removal of the extended hitbox during the blink animation since Astrocyte Verse already takes care of the other issues.

Astrocyte blink should be standard, and the exotic should enhance it further. Bungie -blam!-in hates warlocks with a burning passion though, so it won't happen.

I see the stretched hitbox as a bug more than anything else so... fix it but thats it.

Why, because of our great scarab lord. In all srs though. They seemed to have adopted a seasonal meta system. Weather you want to accept it or not top tree dawn with a controller pluged in is the best pvp class/meta in the game right now(No game should have balancing/meta games effected by input hardware). Before that titans via some very powerful exotics. That being said we have no clue if shift will put them in the number one spot. Could be titans again, as they are generally favored in the past.
