Hey there! Bungie does not fully laptops which is why you are having this issue. Your GeForce 940m may be a little on the low end as it can be used on casual type games. The same link below will help you figure out what specs Bungie is after. 😃

I've installed it on my laptop before and it ran. Currently if I launch the game, during that inital loading screen it will, in the background, launch a Destiny 2 crash handler, so I don't think it's a matter of my machine being low spec.

I understand. But, no matter how high a person’s specs are in a laptop, it is still not fully supported.
