How much does it actually matter if it is a bug? Doesn't it require something like 30 light levels difference before damage is affected?
Since you can just fly to the soft cap of 1050, and easily have +10 on the artifact by now, that means until another player is 1090 (which is +30 on the artifact from hard cap...nearly 400 SP levels), it doesn't matter.

If it’s a bug it should be fixed. It just makes an uneven playing field. And if you’re already reducing your power to make The Rout bounty go faster, it can make some engagements impossible. Especially with this AR meta. Some people are 1097 with artifact power.

I'm at 133 and feel like I really optimize my XP gains. I can't imagine what it takes to have 3x as many levels at this point, and would never have guessed that anyone could be there this soon. It also means that grinding Pinnacles really isn't that important, if you can make up for it with artifact levels that easily.

+ I think it also affects progress on the Bounties if someone's power shows Base+Artifact I check every time and if there is anyone with Power Above BASE I exit the match.

I’m sure I had a game where I got no progress for any kills. There’s clearly some odd behaviour going on. It’s just be nice to have an acknowledgement.
