My fireteam & I were doing the “campaign” for Arrivals today, & the fact that there were so many Shriekers in that first mission got us thinking: what if Savathûn doesn’t have eyes, but uses the Shriekers and other methods to see? There’s a lot of references to one’s eye in the Festering Core strike (which is Savathûn-centric) as well, with one example being the taken Cyclopi being called Retinas. Plus, the symbol for Witch Queen isn’t focused on the three Hive eyes, as Oryx’s symbol was There’s really no solid base to this theory, but it’s still intriguing to think about.
