I’m not going to stop playing this game over something like sunsetting weapons, it happened in D1, and life went on. Bungie has a plan with this, they wouldn’t be sunsetting weapons and then not adding anything new. In fact, I’ll bet that the new weapons and armor that we get in the upcoming expansions will be much better than what we have now. Boycotting over this is incredibly stupid, as we haven’t seen what new weapons will come. Plus, it will help make way for new metas, instead of the meats that we’ve had in the game since forsaken. I get that you want to keep using your weapons and armor, which you’ll still be able to do, and that this is upsetting because it’s countless hours of grinding “wasted”, but boycotting this game that I’m sure you love even if it’s not in a good spot right now is just childish. If you aren’t going to boycott this, keep playing, Bungie is going to improve this game. If you are going to boycott this, don’t come back to Destiny. Simple as that. We don’t want you here. You can be upset, and you can ask for change, but boycotting over something as simple as this is only describable as stupid.

Sun setting weapons only happened once at year 1 of the game, there was no infusion cap of the game for year 2 or year 3. The problem with this infusion cap is that it’s starting late of the game, this isn’t the first year destiny 2, it’s year 3. This “revisiting” of the old weapons won’t happen for a long time. Really think, armor sets and weapons are going to be capped within 4 seasons. Destiny 2 is about grinding for any armor and weapon you want to pursue in the game. Players have the right to use the armor sets and weapons on any activity in the game. Playing Destiny 2 with this infusion cap is not going to go well. Bungie shouldn’t force players to wear and use new weapon sets. Bungie should reward the longest dedicated players the advantage to having to best gear, feel and look powerful.
