Not really whining. Just the fact you need to change the helmet all the time is a little annoying imo. And if they let you unequip the mask inside the forest, why even make it a requirement? But thats just an opinion you don't need to share.

As others have mentioned, unique mask perks add to the event and you shouldn’t rely so heavily on some singular armor piece.
