Ingame Fireteam Finder and Matchmaking

1. I wish Destiny 2 could have a more comfortable way to find a fireteam. It really is inconvenient to go out of the game to find players for the game and manage it. Surely there are better ways in 2019. 2. Matchmaking should be an option, whereby you can decide and toggle if you want to be matched or play alone (with your own Fireteam of less than the required number of players). I know, this could make some grinds easier, but otherwise you just go out and find a Fireteam with a common goal anyway. 3. I think all activities like Raids, Nightfalls, heroic quests...should have optional matchmaking. I know. I know. But hear me out. If you are not in a clan or have active friends in Destiny, this could be a gateway for a far more fluent and convenient experience. Elsewise you are forced to find or join a foreign Fireteam either way. In more challenging activities like Nightfalls and Raids there could be an option for Fireteams which want to play only with experienced players or on the other hand are welcoming new players, too. Destiny tracks those achievements (finishing specific Raids or Nightfalls) anyway. So only players with the achievement would be matched. You don't care explaining the Raid or play with Newbies? Simply toggle the option for experienced players off. You could even have a minimum powerlevel as an option. I love this game but I would love it even more witch fluent matchmaking.

  • I completely agree. I've been begging for this since D2 Launched, I kinda understood a little prior for D1 and games previously that didn't have proper systems in place. Trying to spread the word in youtube comments or forum posts here to get people to push for it generally. The "resistant" perspective from some i've noticed is rather shocking honestly. But i'll say something on that after this; The more and more i've thought about it the reality is that bungie should know better, they're a veteran company not some smuck company that showed up a couple of years ago they've been going for well over a decade and longer so they most certainly should know better. They want D2 to be MMO lite, then BE MMO Lite and actually put systems in place to do the job. You cannot cherry pick very niche things and call it "MMO lite" to even have the term MMO in it, it should at least have a true global chat and chat system so that people from all over the game can talk to each other properly and talk to potential recruiting guilds that may be willing to pick people up. This would improve the game to a point where people might actually stick around....like I am the only person out of all my friends that plays D2 now.....my friends felt so burn't by CoO and Warmind and the base game and i've literally being playing by myself, managed to find a small guild through an acquaintance from another game which lasted for like maybe 2 weeks then I got kicked (my own fault I kinda quit after they nerfed worm, was pretty salty because I just got it and really enjoyed the perk but whatever) but yeah haven't found a guild since that was willing to take me on because of my inconsistent playing hours. As for raids, I get that raiders either want to keep it so that they can "enjoy" being at the "top" though I am probably being unfair with that assessment but it really feels like a lot of people who are against any of this are being really spiteful to those who aren't lucky enough to have connections to others in the game. Which is sad, we should be encouraging everyone to play not discouraging it with petty fits of ego. Regardless, I really hope they do add the suggestion you made .... to be able to queue up and complete the raids finally.... to meet other people and actually have fun.....finally... it would be a godsend. I get that people are worried about "potatoes" not knowing what they are doing but then not everyone can be organised can they? Let people learn. As the OP suggested.....2 separate toggles.... like there is for Competitive or something primary being match made completion players so people who have already completed it via certain achievements and then people who haven't, solo players and such people who haven't completed it yet.....and if they actually had a chat system in game that wasn't so one-dimensional could probably link a discord or something and people could use it to talk and learn the mechanics together..... Funny....2019 and I am talking about this like it would be revolutionary..... kinda sad that it even feels like that for a game in the current times.
