Have you run a match making nightfall yet? I've only done it with a friend, and we basically two manned it.
People that propose this seem to see themselves as average. They don't realize how many people are way worse than them playing the game.

well maybe if they could talk to eachother with a proper chat system in place they might actually learn something if that is the case. The biggest problem players have is they are just shooting stuff thats it, there isn't really a guide to anything a part from youtube which would change if they could actually chat with each other without needing to go to the forums or w/e outside of clan chat of course.

First of all, there is fireteam chat in the game. If you don't join it i can't help you. Secondly, the objective is on the screen and accessible in game, there's an arrow pointing your direction unless blackout then you follow a square, and it's a video game. If you need direction in a strike, again, you're who I'm talking about. If a strike is a 2 difficulty a raid is a 10, jumping puzzle is at least 8, and the easiest respawn party is a 6. How fun that would be with 2 potato thumbs, let alone more.

I mean't an actual global chat for people to talk to each other outside of activities so they can Q&A it without holding up an entire part of group content just to ask questions. People learn more through lengthy discussion as well as playing, if they dont have access to that in-game where will they get it from? Datto? lol. 2) Dont be so condescending, I haven't met a single person who has been that blind except when its a new content drop patch. Thats it. You're exaggerating. 3) Again. If they have no access to learn, then how will they? You're part of the problem and you aren't trying to solve it. If you dont want said "potatoes" then play with your friends. Not hard is it? Dude, read you're own post that i was replying to. I'm not being condescending, you're being obtuse. I said the blueberry basically did nothing, and you said of only there was a chat and didn't add any of those other details until called on it. You said they're usually just shooting stuff and don't know any better, what's to know? Any mechanics canusually be handled by one person. This wasnt corrupted, but judging by your attitude i can't imagine you've played that strike often with blueberries. Having to follow them around and hit them with the relic only to hope they know to throw it at the shielded enemies is a nightmare. This is a combination of lead a horse to water and teach a man to fish. If someone is . unwilling to use lfg, how motivated are they to learn something new really? They want us to match them up for these encounters on their terms, they're unwilling to do anything else, these encounters aren't so wide open that that kind of thinking gets you very far. You have to play a role, coordinate with others, and you can't just do your own thing. I've tried the gg leviathan. Have you? I went in with 3 other friends, and we got matched with a mic less guy that didn't speak English we assume, and a dude that bailed after one encounter. How are you supposed to raids like that, and i brought 4 guys to the fireteam to start!

You're asking for too much lol. A global chat just so people can talk to players they may or may not invite to their fireteam? I hope you realize most games don't have any of the features you're proposing, much less all of them. There's no reason for this system to be this complicated. Just make an in-game firetam finder page like the one on the companion app and add a list of completions,stats, etc. And no, he's not exaggerating. I encounter legitimately incompetent players daily. No one is "part of the problem" for not wanting to play with potatoes. They should put in the effort to get better or find people who don't mind helping them. It's not anyone's responsibility to carry them.

Most games? Warframe does, I hate invoking that games name on this board but its true...they manage a global chat and its fine. Works great, some great laughs have been had in that chat and there is plenty of recruitment going on from people for their guilds/clans w/e, people ask for help and they usually get it. So do most other MMIOs - they have it too. So no its not asking for much at all. Matchmaking? Most games have that. Even for hard content. They want it to be MMO lite so as ive stated it should BE mmo lite. They are part of the problem if they out right spitefully wont want a feature that would help so many, there doesn't have to be MM for raids but there is no excuse for everything else. I feel like so many people in this community live in their own little bubble unwilling to acknowledge a problem simply because it doesn't effect them.Whats the point of having a cooperative game when half the community cant even engage because they either dont know people, dont know about the LFG site and dont know about the clan recruitment on the forum board? and hell most dont even want a mega clan (absurd amount of players etc) some just want a nice tight group of people they can play with and have a laugh with. Point is. Nothing im asking for is impossible, bad or wrong because it simply adds to things it doesnt take anything away and people who are not liking this DONT HAVE TO USE IT - its like kicking over someones letter box because its a colour you dont like.... just stop looking at it.

So Warframe has a chat where you can connect with people that aren't on your fireteam? That just doesn't seem necessary. You can't say that people who don't support matchmaking for endgame content "live in their own little bubble" when you admit that "half the community doesn't engage in content because they don't know people." Get off your ass and go find a clan, hell even send a message to someone in the Tower. You know what I did when I was sick of not having consistent pvp players to play with? I made my own clan. I run that clan through all the ups and downs. I don't get on here and complain that the game didn't hold my hand every step of the way to help me find friends to play with. I see your point in saying that these changes wouldn't effect those who don't want them, but you're not considering that this would take a ton of time and resources from Bungie that they could be spending on more important things. They struggle to deliver substantial fresh content as it is, and something like this would likely require huge alterations to the infrastructure of the game.

dude had 30 something kills in a nf, and he thinks he was just shooting people because he didn't know what to do. We also revived him every time he died on the same screen with us. You could put a post on lfg saying please join my chat to talk about what to do, but i shudder to think about the replies you'd get. I'm down voted to zero for saying people are better than they think they are. That says a lot about these forums by itself.
