Countdown pushes the team to act in a different way and actually make a choice, choose a strategy and see if it is successful. Starting the countdown puts the pressure on the enemy which is good because pressure is what drives people to succeed. It's by far one of the most balanced game modes in the game. Control is trash Clash is trash. Survival is OK but team shot is obviously meta. People seem to want modes where it's all just kill kill kill no mechanics or anything. Countdown requires a different part of the brain to use, which most people hate using because they're not used to it.

Just wait till you run into a team using the Exploit that stops you from spawning on plants causing you to lose the round. I've posted about it on the help section numerous times and I post the video i get banned or show the person admitting to cheating I also get banned.

I don't get why it has to be first to 6 when it could've been to 3 or 4 like Survival.

I despise Countdown with a passion. The day that this shit mode gets dumped out of Comp will be a good day.

My biggest issue with it is how many rounds it can go. There’s no reason it needs to go to six rounds. I’m glad they’re removing it.

Actually survival is way too lng, especially when it's 1 v 4 and Bungie still decides that leaving the match instead of being gangraped is a negative experience for the other players.

The only time I’m happy to see countdown is when I have specific bounties/quests that require a certain kind of crucible kill. Longer game = faster progress

The only good thing about countdown is that a single player can clutch the win with good harassment play or a well placed bubble with helm equipped. I still hate the mode myself but it does have a bright spot here and there

I like it as long as my team isn't completely brain dead, which sadly is hardly ever. How some of you people make it day to day is beyond me.

Comp should be literally exactly like trials was in d1 without the score card and it would be beautiful.

It won’t be an issue in less than three weeks. I think control in comp last too long.

I'm glad its getting replaced with elimination. I always felt count down should last only 3 rounds since it's so slow and boring.
