Escalation Protocol Armour Drops Instead of Weapons
So I took the community challenge as an attempt to finally get myself the ep weapons and this has happened around four times now. When a legendary engram drops from the boss I get really excited for that shotgun but when I pick it up its a Y1 armour piece.
(example I got an Errant Knight helmet on Hunter - Philomath Gloves on Warlock)
Is this an Issue with the game or Is this just something that happens that I can't find any info on?
(PS4 - BTW - Gonna try on PC for a bit now)

Edited by conkus805: 9/9/2019 3:51:39 AMgot the shotty at 10 clears, smg at 72 clears, sniper at 80 clears. so yes, I would say they are a fairly rare drop. this is not a console vs pc thing either, the drop rates are low and regular planetary legendaries can drop from level 7 bosses.

I think it’s just that the weapons are really rare.

I did 46 level 7 before I got my Shotgun in Y1, got the SMG and Sniper in the 20's-30's. Lately I've done 15 or so EP and got another sniper. On several occasions there was a legendary engram on the ground but was just a piece of armor or weapon unrelated to EP.

I hate to say this but I have had a few shotties (and weapon wise only shotties) drop this week. Sorry :( Now on the other hand I have been trying to get that damned ST RL since the title came out and am still empty handed as is a clan mate of mine who also has been running ST for that damned RL which once we get will probably dismantle in minutes.

Had a rare double legendary drop from the ep boss. Year 1 armour and a mananan scout rifle

1 ReplyHonestly I was wondering the same thing, this happened to me a couple of times this week and I couldn’t recall ever seeing a normal legendary drop from an EP boss before, just the EP weapons. I even wondered if maybe the boss just fell on a legendary that was there already.
