In my belief it’s not fun it’s terrible and it’s nothing but a chore and it hurts my brain.

I managed to finish my titan, only as far as legendary. Can’t even attempt to try masterwork, no point. Still on the fence for shadowkeep anyway

Edited by KRIMS0NIT3: 8/19/2019 6:52:19 PMThe EAZ is fun for me. The armor grinds are not. I did the armor for my hunter and then my titan but I stopped after that when I realized the amount of time I would be investing into getting my warlock’s armor would probably be about the same amount of time I’ve played up to this point on said warlock
-
I decided to stop after one armor. Why would I do two more armors ? For a sparrow that I know I won't use ? The grind isn't that awful but doing 3 times is just a waste of energy. EAZ is good, better than another infinitly boring forest reskin, but not rewarding like the event. It there was an event engram or actual rewards I would have played more during the Solstice.
-
The EAZ is a lot of fun. I wish it’d stay around. The rest I can take or leave.
-
I gave up after doing Hunter armour. I felt it was insulting to my time.
-
Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Finished my third set of armor last Friday. Could have used less crucible but I needed the synths so I didn’t mind.
-
Git good

Edited by TooCoolFull: 8/19/2019 5:51:43 PMIt's not exactly terrible, but the armor grind isn't entertaining. Once I got to the blue armor I quickly realized that I am not interested in completing the set. Too many steps to get something that will be mediocre at best in year 3. But the EAZ is a good area that could make a great gambit map. Maybe too many corners, but it would add a fresh take on some of the repetitive nature of the game type.
-
Hell NO!!!!!
-
The EAZ is a fun activity, but not for 30+ runs to get the Majestic set on all three characters
And the 30 matches of Gambit gets old even faster
-
The EAZ is dope. This is what patrols should be like.
-
You should be able to specifically trigger the orb buffs at your own choosing once you’ve collected enough. It’s pretty useless, random, and short lived otherwise. I’d want to save this buff for a boss encounter for example....
-
The vertical map is interesting. Upgrading gear is kewl. I wish there was sets of weapons to go along with the armor. The requirements should have been about 1/3 to 1/2 of what they are. 10 gambit matches - should be about 3. 25-patrols - should have been about 10. Or they should have lowered as you do one character the next should be faster.
-
Solstice of heroes is not a set of armor. It is not a miserable grind. It is an event. An event you can participate in as much as you like. If you're not smart enough to differentiate between one potential quest and the actual event you're participating in you'll probably not answer correctly. Getting full Purple armor seems like a chore. I doubt I'll make it. Having a revolving second elemental burn available In every activity is freaking awesome. The eaz is pretty cool. I preferred the haunted forest, but it's not bad. The event overall is fun imo.
-
yea I was having a fun time with it, I had started playing the event a little late so I don’t quite have my full armor set yet but I didn’t mind the grind. But now I’m not to sure if I can even finish the set because I need my crucible void kills, BUT I have been “Restricted” from matching against other players. I have no idea why, I was playing last night with no issues at all. So thank you bungee for ruining something for me once again!
-
I mean, I had fun doing my green set two weeks into the event after not playing. Then I slogged through my blue set. I love the EAZ. I love the orb effects. I love the armor. I hate the grind.
-
Once I got the majestic set, I was glad I never had to go to the EAZ again.
-
Finishing the first set was really fun. After that though... ugh.
-
It's somewhere in the middle of those two. It was fun at times, other times were dragged out and took up too much time just for one objective on one piece. I didn't hate it but I definitely didn't love it.
-
It really is a chore trying to get the armour. I finally succeeded today but rather than a sense of achievement I just experienced a wave of relief. That's not what this game should be about.
-
This was for the hardcore d2 people to do. Like we know we have a content pause as we cork on Shadowkeep so here are some really long and tedious things to keep you hamsters spinning the wheel
-
In my belief it’s not fun it’s terrible and it’s nothing but a chore and it hurts my brain.
Need a 3rd option , ie... I didn’t bother with the mindless grind

Edited by Týr-Skadi: 8/19/2019 5:56:57 PMMaybe it was more fun if they made the armor upgrading part not individual but "as a team". E.g: "As a team (also matchmade) do this or that". E.g: "As a team create 500 elemental orbs", "As a team, kill 20 opponents", or something. They could also did that with the mini bosses achievement. Just count every killed miniboss as 1, for every member of a fireteam. (including matchmade team) In that way it's less frustrating if two members of your team just kill minibosses and let you by yourself with the end boss. By the way: i still dont have my blue armor yet. I think that says it all, for me. I play mostly solo and PVE and i just dont like to be "forced" to do Gambit etc. I like it a bit more now, cause i know a bit how and what and stuff, just because of that "forced" rubbish, but no. Better not. It would be more fun if i had a choice. "Kill ten oponents OR kill 200 this or that." Like that you keep it fun for both PVP and PVE players. Cause now they sent me in there with a low armor set, with no perks, while i never played before. Just to be a walking bullseye for the more expierienced players. I bet they had a lot of fun. By the way, i'm not complaining. I had fun with it, but i had more fun with the casual EP, strikes and other stuff. Also: why doing this much effort if the armor is also available in SK. I assume you can get it then too. Maybe with even less effort. (?)

I lost my soul doing one. ONE. characters solstice gear. I refuse to do any more. -blam!- that.
-
This was my first Solstice event and hell sure it’s gonna be my last. The EAZ was the only thing positive out of this whole thing. Missions and steps were not.
-
It has been a real grind, some members of my clan did the green but once they saw what they had to do on the blue they just gave up. A couple of the guys got 1 set of Majestic and are happy with that, I for my sins did 3 sets!!!! why you ask, I don't know other than the bragging rights lol Maxing out the Majestic was fun, 200k Nightfall/2 man Shattered Throne loved both.
