In my belief it’s not fun it’s terrible and it’s nothing but a chore and it hurts my brain.
-
I wanted to grind all 3 sets, but...HELL NO! 60 gambit matches in total would've melted my brain. And all for a reskinned mediocre sparrow!? No thanks.
-
Dead horse is dead.
-
EAZ was cool for the first run. That is literally all Solstice is; the EAZ, endless repetitive grinding, cosmetics that eat huge amounts of bright dust so you’ll be more likely to hoard it for next season and use real money/silver, armor that will likely get sharded by most after the first day of Shadowkeep, and the grand prize of a D1 sparrow.
-
Grinding for armor that will be obsolete in less than two months? Nope. They games needs what it has always needed: More weapons, more unique weapons, and more powers. A proper RPG skill-tree.
-
They're getting everyone who bought Shadowkeep ready for the new model. They're testing the waters to see how people feel about unnecessarily long grinds packed into a few weeks of a season before it's gone forever like Luke's blog said. Paid customers who don't have the time have to wait until future seasons to obtain the rest of the rewards. Plenty of ways to create an "evolving world." Adding new paid content only to delete it a few weeks later is just asinine.
-
It's a desperate Eververse cash grab coupled with quests designed to pad the participation numbers in its PvP modes leading up to it's F2P transition. The fact that the Tribute Hall wants Bright dust? -blam!-ing lol. How -blam!-ing low and transparent can they be?
-
It's fun for the first 0% of the time.
-
It was nothing more than a means to convince players who left a long time ago that they could come and earn 2.0 gears for fall for free. This company is too busy doing baiting and trapping low resilience players rather than convincing educated consumers. Consequence: 600k potential clients worldwide. But hey, what do we know, these people are Deeeevvvvzzzzz
-
Didn't answer. It's grindy in places, but it has its moments. And there are some unique challenges in it. I still hope I can pull the 200k Nightfall.
-
Did all three sets last year. Couldn’t do even 1 this time around cause it’s pretty much the same pile of tedious tasks that are pretty much meaningless. And, God, I’m happy they are meaningless. Cause if all this grind was tied up to some one time only and gameplay relevant reward, I would flip.
-
It was fun doing some of the activities I don’t do that often, but it soon became a boring grind.
-
I started the grind on my warlock today after finishing my hunter last week. Any strike that couldn't be sped through and boss melted in one phase, I left. And even then I still want to bash my -blam!-ing head in. Partially because I spent 30 minutes going in and out of the character screen because I adamantly refuse to play hallowed lair anymore, and for 30 minutes it kept bringing me back to yee ol tangled shore.

I’m definitely getting burnt out only being able to get packages out of the EAZ. They could’ve done a better job on the packages. I’ve opened over 100 on my Hunter and still haven’t gotten a cloak at all minus the one I upgraded from green. I saved packages from the 100 mini bosses on all three characters so I could get a better roll to use the rest of the season. It took about 175 on my Warlock to get Grenade Launcher Reserves on my bond and helm and Grenade Scavenger/Rocket Scavenger on my Gauntlets. I was going to go for Rolls with Rocket Reserves, but I’m just tired of the RNG. I haven’t gotten any rolls with enhanced perks aside from a few that improve Linear Fusion rifles. I am ready for armor 2.0 because RNG has brought down my enthusiasm for this event. My Warlock is ready to go till Grenade Launchers are toned down, but it looks like my Titan and Hunter will have to wait till armor 2.0. I hate that I put so much time in the event and only have a Titan and Hunter that look cool and a Warlock with good reserve/scavenger perks. There is still a week left, but I also got 50 hours of work and a lot of sleep, so I won’t have much time to grind.

Edited by blade329: 8/19/2019 10:47:48 PMWell, it's sorta fun. I like the EAZ. Unfortunately, the Sostice has you spend more time away from it. I do like energy buffs. I don't like doing Gambit matches and patrols though. Just tedious busy work to me.
-
Last year’s Solstice of Heroes was better imo. Just my 2 glimmer.
-
About as fun as rubbing my meat with sand paper while drinking vinegar and pouring lemon juice in my eyes.
-
Eh, not my favorite but I don’t hate it.
-
3 classes masterworked. Did not enjoy. Would do again. OCD and completionist made me do it.
-
I wouldn’t say miserable. But it definitely is not fun. I haven’t gone back to the EAZ since I got my majestic set for my Warlock, and I did not feel any motivation to get the armor in my Titan or Hunter. I don’t even get enhancement cores frequently enough from the packages to make EAZ worth while. I’m not as concerned about random roll or God roll majestic armor pieces since it will be obsolete in 6 weeks. This “event” has been pretty meh.
-
News flash ....you don’t need to all characters! One is really easy and doable 👍
-
Edited by N7_Dredgen: 8/20/2019 4:29:48 AMNope. Worst thing I've ever done in all of Destiny franchise period. Destiny's "random" community is too daft for something like EAZ to actually be fun. 90% of EAZ runs is loading in while you do all the work and 2 others players beat off in some backend corner of the map. EAZ has other problems though. Chests shouldn't randomly spawn - they should spawn where the bosses died. Chests just reward garbage fragments anyway. EAZ sucks hard balls and I never want to go there again. This entire thing would have been more tolerable if the goals were all 1/3.... what I did for 1 character should have been more than enough to unlock all 3 armor sets. The problem is every time Bungie releases an event like this, they act like players only have 1 character... most of us don't. Most of us, even the non-casuals, have to dump alot more than normal time to actually get all 3 sets. It also really doesn't help the "quests" were just bland crap we do all the time but made even less appealing... like hey here's another 60 strikes to do. Thanks Bungo. But hey you can spend 15,000 dust on some glowing shit. I hate Solstice.
-
I enjoy it, but am not a Gambit fan so that was real grindy to me. I am way behind on PS4 and have not started my Hunter on Xbox. I have not even started on PS4. I am going to try get my Warlock completed. I lost a week due to work and a mini-vacation. I was hoping Bungie would extend Solstice a week.
-
Very tedious, just need my titan set completed then I'm done with all 3. They really need to implement systems to cut requirements for grinding across multiple characters. At least when its expected to do so for a reward such as the sparrow. Or avoid tedious quest requirements altogether.
-
One of the worst events ever. And next year when they make the glows way easier to get people are going to lose their minds cause they "earned" them this year when it was pay to look cool.
-
It was meh.

Can't comment. Didn't do.
But here I am commenting that I cannot comment.
