Best way to do it is load up a nightfall that has a lost sector at the beginning and get kills there. You can also get done progress towards the vanguard tributes as well if you were Leviathan/Menagerie gear.

I have been doing this with basically any strike based bountys especially any that can be denied by teamates taking all the kills because dear god the murder hobos make it difficult
