I've gotten 8 out of 9 Radiant Largesse mods this week... I get it, the most useless are going to be the most plentiful. Radiant Largess obviously has a 99% drop rate, while something like Hive Barrier prolly has a 0.01% drop rate, but I really think this should've been vendor related.
Let me earn a token for Menagerie completion, hell even Heroic, 3x per character, 9x per week, then go to said vendor and buy the mod I want. Tokens reset each week, you can only buy a mod once, voila... I still have a reason to play next week... at least, outside of the whole borked Menagerie, now, lol.
I get RNG should play a factor in a game like this... but you look at other games, like Monster Hunter, Borderlands, Diablo and the like, while they have RNG, they still give you a chance to use resources you get, but don't want, to get resources you want, but don't have.
Destiny is just a crap shoot which relies way too heavily on RNG. I'm honestly scared that in D3, it'll be an RNG chance to log in... 25% chance it'll be your Hunter, 60% chance it'll be your Warlock, 15% chance it'll be your Titan! lol

I am hoping for a raid mod vendor since Scourge of the Past. You only have 3 chances per week and there is hardly enough loot to have a high chance of the mod you want. Same with Last Wish. I would love to have more than 1 taken spec after 50+ clears and countless raid chest runs without finishing the raid. I mean the Menagerie is a step in the right direction, you have guaranteed 9 mod drops per week with a fully upgraded chalice. Please expand on this Bungie!

RNG is every online RPG's mechanic.

I’m just glad that the raid mods drop out of the raid, 9 mods from Menagerie is pretty good if you ask me even if it is random. SotP rarely dropped the mods in the first place and that was also the only place to get them
