They would have to tear down the foundation of D2 and rebuild it. Bungie dont have that time, bungie needs to move on to D3 and make that right from start.

No they wouldn't. The only thing stopping a 60fps console version is current console CPU limitations bottlenecking the system.

Bungie has already started on D3. But the main focus is D2 content. Then back to D3.

They've never said that, they're not even sure if they'll make a D3. A D2 next gen port is very likely if they want to keep the game going.

I've watched the video, they've never said they're already working on D3. I dont think they uave recently on a interview bungie said that they dont know yet if they will make D3, why would they say that ig D3 is on the making, and there is no reason to do it, I knoe about the console storage issue but they can do what they did in D1 rise of iron just leave the old gen, and cross things to the new consoles

I’m not sure this is correct. Mark Noseworthy and Luke Smith stated in the E3 forum they did that as they already have a working model for PC it is essentially the hardware holding the game back. I’m sure it’s not as simple as they made it sound but they were talking about it being possible to update the graphics and engine of D2 when the new consoles come out. I’m sure there will be a D3 or ‘definitive Destiny’ but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is some way off and Bungie release a D2 version for PS5 and Xbox ‘Scarlet’.

‘Jonas34pt’ must have heard the same comment as they have stated the same as me and although I think they’ve started working on D3, there has never been any official news on if there will even be a D3 so you’re just being subjective rather than objective. In regards to a time stamp/interview then I can’t really be bothered but if you really want to find out then just watch the E3 interviews they did, sure it will pop up somewhere in there 👌

I remember Luke saying d3 is so far away they aren’t thinking about it yet during the New Light announcement.
