Clan members contradicting themselves

Just getting feedback here. Do other clan founders find it odd that people complain about wanting an active clan that does activities together, just to turn around and never do any activities with the clan. And in my experience, those same people end up leaving the clan because nobody ever did activities with them. Anyone else having this happen?? • Folk in general (especially gamers) are more than selfish I’m an admin of a clan & the first part of getting into our clan is that prior to invite, you join a party chat, put some game time in & help others across some of the PvP/PvE modes (no matter what it might be - quick mayhem, old Y1 mission etc) And as my party chat is always open, simply join it and say hello/ask We’ve folk running Raid challenges, catalysts, comp pinnacle weapons etc ...all the way back to ‘just starting D2’ Things can get done a lot faster with a little respect, manners & a friendly fireteam! (And helps to know those whom know quick routes) I can’t stand cliques inside clans, or those that act all superior (skills are one thing, but banter goes both ways) Anyone being an ass, or just solo farming engrams from the clan can just jog on! Have a clan purge, kick the ones out that don’t help/contribute to the rewards/social/fireteams

  • The whole clan thing only works for solo players in my opinion, I play with friends all the time, lfg for extras while rest of clan reaps the reward. Which are the solo players I'm talking about.

  • Yeah wouldn’t worry about it too much, just kinda the way people are. It’s often surprising how many people will have a solution to their problem, but not deal with it because it’s too much effort, or they’d like someone else to do it for them. I run a small clan where we have all played for quite a while together, and our attitude has always been if new members need help and ask, we’d be more than happy to help, and we make that clear to the new member. However, I’m not gonna go out of my way and ask everyone all the time if they need help with anything. We don’t recruit at all, and tend to get new members through raid sherpas or comp matches, and I find these tend to stick around and mesh with our lil community better.

It's not always that, some clans only run with specific ppl. I joined an active clan, cool ppl but they always run with the same 6 ppl or 3ppl for activities and expect every1 else to make their own groups in clan which most dont join or because they dont know you. But I some do that as well join and just never do anything with clan the joined. But just saying that, that's not always the issue, it's sometimes the clan itself. Having to be new and all, no1 wants to run with you or clan feels safer or more inclined to run with the same ppl they always been running with and leaving the new ppl benched. Again like I said, I been there, has happened to me numerous times

        • Happens to us. They say hello on the wall when they join and I say," don't be shy about joining parties and asking for help", but unless they already know someone in the clan already, they don't join in.

        • I feel like these situations, these people are wanting others to reach out to them to play. They want the clan members to be the ones to invite them to play. They themselves won’t actually initiate a group activity. Idk.
