The public events could be watered down versions of the real raid encounters. Gauntlet without the having to shoot the buttons, with a boss to kill after you get all 3 runs in. Dogs, but without the stealth mechanic, and they have more health. Baths, but instead of switching off plates every so often, 4 players just stay on their plates for a certain amount of time, and the lanterns have more health. It'd be pretty dope if you ask me.

Yeah, I know, downvote it because it's Odin telling the truth. There is a lot of space in this game not being used and it's actually playable ground on all the planets/moon, but Imo more social areas won't benefit the game, not even public events if they're not updated to keep things relevant and it would just be the same as we have now at the tower or other patrol areas that for 2 years the vendors have barely been updated other than Tess and that is including the planet vendors that have been forgotten about. I remember in D1 things like the social areas being kept relevant, or Bungie adding things like The huge Taken boss on the cosmodrome like the ones you have in Dreaming city to change things up but they offer nothing other than just something to do when you're bord for what, 2 minutes? IMO Bungie needs to learn to (utilize what we have) and adding more areas is a waste of time and resources at this point. Sure, it would be fun at first, but let's be honest with ourselves. How useful is the (Farm, Public events, Planet vendors... Mercury that has a hell of a lot of space beside the forest that is not being used as a patrol area that many have asked for to extend it into the forest? I mean a lot of gamers were all excited about getting the Farm before the game released and once you completed what you needed to you ended up at the tower that most forgot it even existed after playing for a bit. I get wanting new areas but if it's not being utilized how does it benefit the game? Bungie has a really bad habit of creating things like Mercury that there are so many things they could do with just that alone and what has been done since you guys have asked for the forest to be useful? [spoiler]Nothing[/spoiler] The only time Bungie made Mercury relevant is for timed events and even then it was basically the same thing and poof! it's gone in a week.

Just make a grand tour where you do literally every. single. leviathan raid in one mega raid.

Open it up, leave the encounters, allow people the play with mechanics in a consequence free environment. Wanna run gauntlet? Put a centurion at each runner plate and when killed it spawns an orb for someone to just practice their running, have the psionic charges in each 3 by 3 wall randomly show up as if it was being stood on and shot outside, let them keep going as well to do all 3 and see how the run changes each time. Bathers could stay the same except chains dont lower allowing a single person to lock all of them and shoot at the lamps. Idk how to allow practice for dogs and castellum could just be constantly running for people to gather standards and what not and see how that works. Public events could also just be the actual raid encounter without wipe mechanics.

Waiting for the Leviathan to swallow the Dreadnaught and then both spaces become one giant, open, explorable area.

Welp, if they made the entirety of Leviathan a patrol space, they'd have to do the same thing with every other location in the game. Not saying that that wouldn't be awesome... but that that would be a crapload of work that they more than likely wouldn't have the server space to do. Earth alone would need its own building to house the server required.

Please I've been asking them to add a Patrol Zone on Levithan forever now. I think it would be cool as hell. Imagine the lost sectors? Story-wise they should have the Cabal fly the Levithan to the Hive-Dreadnought in an attempt to devour the Hive ship then make the combination of them a Patrol Zone.
