It's kind of sad how Bungie puts all this time and effort into their Raids and only a very very small percentage of players even plays the content. I think with the new menagerie raid they seem to be testing the waters of what players like about raiding and what more they could tweak by adding mechanics to make it more MMO like as WoW (luke smith). I was never a big raider, only have a handful of clears and sometimes get kicked for not having an emblem or having my stats looked at and only showing a clear of 1. I think for some that get treated that way was off putting, but I can't wait to see what the future holds with the new direction we are heading into for the game across the board.

  • the thing is that he access to a raid is convoluted .. there is no straight line from playing the game to having access to a raid other than going to guided games.. and how that turned out can be seen that its still in "beta" . e.g, it doesnt work there needs to be more incentives for players to guide.. there needs to be more possibilities for players to guide (without a clan) there needs to be a segway to this via in game options.. yea i know the "if you want to raid you need to put in some effort".. -argument. but its flawed since many many many players do not even know about lfg pages or are not experienced with using outside sources.. maybe they are not used to this since they only played borderlands or division 1 .. or they just arent aware of how this whole thing works.. =)
