I just purchased the game today (never owned Destiny before). I had an existing battle.net account from WoW, linked the battle.net account to Bungie, and had him send me a refer-a-friend invite. I clicked accept link request and clicked "confirm link" only to get "an error has occurred". Waited a while and tried several times. He tried creating a second link and now I receive the message "You are either an existing Destiny player or a new player who has already been referred to by an existing player". We do not show up as linked, do not have access to any of the refer-a-friend rewards or quests, and are not gaining bonus XP. It looks like Bungie's "HELP" offers nothing but frustration as well. Please let me know if you know of a solution.
