Concerning the jumpship, you mentioned the “warp drive” and “hyperdrive.” I love the Star Wars and Star Trek references, lol, but if you want to keep this story airtight lore-wise, you should just call it the “NLS Drive” (Near Light Speed). The things in Star Wars/Trek are different from each other and from what we have in Destiny. Also, if you really want to pay attention to physics and pseudoscience, a person shouldn’t be able to activate the NLS Drive in atmosphere because the ship would immediately be torn apart and explode because of the effects of gravity and the atmosphere creating resistance. That’s probably why, as you may have noticed, we always fly our jumpships out of atmosphere before using NLS and always come out of NLS outside the atmosphere of planets in Destiny.[/spoiler]
