Enhancement Cores

Im a veteran Destiny player & I absolutely love these games. I've bought every DLC to this day, but as soon as enhancement cores became a requirement to infuse gear I slowly stopped playing. Many people in the community agree that having these enhancement cores as a required part of the infusion process does not help the player achieve an "impactful sense of progression" but instead makes playing the game & getting more powerful feel like a chore. I don't want to sit around & grind to get more powerful gear and then go grind to infuse my powerful gear into something that I actually want to wear. Making us use enhancement cores removes our ability to wear the armor/weapons we actually want to use until we grind for more cores. Stop making us use these for infusion. Enhancement cores should be an end game item that gives our armor/weapons their special perks, not something we have to use every time we make our items stronger. It's not fun in it's current state & it ruins the game entirely.

And here I am, confused. Do people who lack cores just master-work any old item? Level something up then find something else? I don't get it. Sitting on a fat stack of 563. So unless your infusing up or master-working something every other day... edit: OP hasn't played in Months and playtime was very spotty before hand. Even devoting at least two hours per week to do Spider bounties and a few powerful gear activities on just two characters would net you an absolute guarantee of 12 cores per week. And during that time it's very likely scrapper bounties, finest matterweave and cores will pop out of legendaries that just get sharded, which means you should easily walk away with around 20 per week. Be smart when infusing, try out different armor variants until you either have the appropriate materials or simply chew the cud and deal with a few perks you don't want. If you no longer play a game and have nothing more to contribute, don't even bother attempting to tear it down when your presence has gone unnoticed otherwise.
