Locking this thread. Bungie does not control the DTG Subreddit - that is their own moderation team. If you have feedback for the DTG Moderators and their decisions, they have a modmail for that, use their tools. Creating this thread here doesn’t serve any purpose.

    • I am amazed at how many people are believing this claim. Bungie has no power over reddit. People are so conspiracy theorist about Bungie. They are a bunch of people who love the game, trying to make it better. Perfectly? No. They are a business so they try to find the best way to make a profit, but are they some evil secret society? No. Tldr: Bungie is not the Illuminati

If posts are being removed, the Reddit moderators are probably doing this not Bungie. If you read the rules for DTG or Crucible Playbook you'll see that they nearly don't allow criticism of Bungie or Destiny. Crucible Playbook's mantra is "we play the game we have". They want people to have productive discussions about how to succeed in the game as it exists, not spend time complaining about the game. That isn't all bad. Let us have one or two areas where people are positive and helpful. People can always come here and complain.

      • They are starting to bury the most popular threads that shed a negative light on the new update

      • I don't think bungie control reddit, you just have to look at the forum here to see that they currently aren't removing all the negative feedback they rightly deserve that they could easily remove.

        • Umm... bungie does not control reddit and the fact that none of the threads on these forums holding them to account have been removed is also worth noting. They are making stupid decisions yes but seriously people are starting to act like someone took a crap on Stan Lee’s grave, calm the hell down everyone. I’m not happy about these nerfs either but this is just getting beyond a joke...

        • That's one of the greatest things about BUNGIE. They allow us to voice our opinions on their official forums unimpeded (only removing posts / threads that cross the line). I have to give BUNGIE credit where it's due. EA and it's moderators do NOT allow dissenting or negative opinions about its games on their official forums. I'm looking at you, Poolshark (and glad to see your streaming career going down in flames; you were never as entertaining as you liked to believe).

          • If it's of the quality of the complaint posts here, they're likely violating Reddit's TOS, which Bungie has nothing to do with. In fact, the real problem is that moderation here is really, really slack. Someone should have made a sticky post for the nerf complaining and deleted the other 20,000 hivemind MAH NERFS posts cluttering up this place.

          • Hmph, those cowards. I wouldn’t put it past them. They delete posts here as well while also blocking dissent & criticism on Twitter. They live in a safe space echo chamber. Also, thinking they have 0 influence on their own subreddit is naive. 1 of the Bungie employees (a community manager) has publicly threatened a reddit user there for politely criticizing the lead writer on destiny, with cozmo saying that blaming the failure of writing on the lead writer ‘will not be tolerated.’ Now, you might think this is strange, considering luke smith received way more criticism than anyone at Bungie, yet no one from his company has ever publicly defended him. Well, there is 1 difference between the 2. The writer’s name is Christine Thompson. I am sure you are smart enough to know why she was so aggressively defended, despite having garnered much less, very deserved, criticism.

            • Reddit mods delete everything if you break the rules there. As it should be. Discussions only happen in civilized manner. Spaming or insulting isn't feedback in the slightest. Bungie has no control over reddit FYI, nor does any other game company.

              • To my knowledge that's not how reddit works. I don't think bungie has direct control over the posts there.

              • I have seen tons of complaint posts, if some are removed my guess is that they broke code of conduct or spam

              • That's not true. The forums? Sure they condense and delete spam. Reddit? You know they don't.

              • You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

              • Bungie doesn't have any control over Reddit. If posts are getting deleted it means they are breaking Reddits rules.

              • What? LoL Bungo does NOT have control over what Reddit does or doesn’t delete. Reddit has a ToS and mods just like the Bungie site.
