Politics wherever you discuss them often turn into arguments where neither side wants to know the truth, but be right even if being right in their eye is actually wrong. They breed toxicity.

Can be. Not all. There’s some pretty toxic crap in d2 too 👀 You can’t ban discussions on politics tho it covers to much, taxes and health care for example.

Unfortunately, those things can't be discussed in a civil manner on a public forum so they should be banned.

If the thread turned into a shit throwing mess then sure, close it. To ban a political discussion before it even started incase it turned ugly is just wrong and insulting.

I made one about brexit and it’s fine. I don’t think it was banned because it was political, it had the word racist in it and I think that is the only reason it was locked. Op there raised a good topic, are historical monuments that have negative connotations acceptable, in reply I would say yes, history is full of mistakes to learn from, no reason to justify destroying things.
