Swords are..actually pretty good. Have you seen a god roll surrounded spec Stryker's sure hand? It does some insane damage. The problem is that shotguns also do that simillar damage, and arent a heavy weapon. Swords simply need a few more perk choices which benefit the aggro play style. Maybe some exotic armor which also benefits swords only (like the titan one but for damage rather than blocking. I love the new sword added in this season and its new perk is ... interesting and pretty strong just not that useful and hardly comes up. I feel like more perks which simply promote the playstyle of being next your enemy would be enough to help them out.
