Just some thoughts

Hey, I want to preface all of this by saying that I think Destiny is a great franchise with one of the best[if not hidden(but much better recently)] stories and universes in gaming and other media. I've been a fan since day 1 and bought the game and the expansions over the years a few times(some for console change and some for friends who lost interest but I was dedicated to respreading the good word). However... There are some reocurring problems with the game at large that are small in nature but when compounded REALLY make it hard to keep friends interested and honestly make it hard to stay true to the grind. First and foremost, why is old content scaling with our light level? I think we can all agree that there are striking similarities between many of the recent PvE activities, so why is it that Blind Well is not a cake walk after 100 light levels of difference from launch equivalent LL? I am not a stranger or opponent to difficulty, Destiny raids and end game PvP and activities are where I learned to love punishment, but why have 3 PvE activities (Blind Well, Forges, and now Reckoning) that all serve very similar experiences be at such similar difficulties in terms of enemy stats? Or maybe I am completely off base with the numbers there and the real question is, why have a light level at all if 100 LL or even 50 LL doesn't make a significant difference other than "You are or you aren't appropriate light level for this activity". Next, I think the level boost gear bounties were a misstep. If you made all purples drop at or slightly above the characters current light level and did away with the huge jumps I think you would find these bounties unnessesary. I am not a designer or even that well versed in what bungie is working with, but it seems most of these sort of mechanics are community based from loud whiners and not a majority opinion (once again, could be wrong) either way if you dont plan on a change like this then maybe change the way we are rewarded for tokens, if some of us are past a lot of the grind what we are looking for is end game consumables, not gear from the tower vendors, in general of course, and as pettt as it sounds, turning in a thousand coins and breaking it all down when the endgame usually consists of perfecting your already attained gear, another option for legendaries would be preferable. A side note to that, if I am at max LL for content I should not be getting less than max drops in most circumstances. I've seen you all try hard to listen to the community and I really appreciate the effort, but it seems like too much in some places and nothing at all in the obvious ones. A lot of the changes have players zooming through the meat of the game to be left dismantling gear for hours in the end game and it seems to be very simple switches that could make the game have a traditional and hearty mid game with grinding, normal difficulty standards, and a variety of new gear, transition into a harder and more specific end game with a little less variety but deeper content and targeted gear sets. I don't want Destiny to become a clone of something else, don't misunderstand me, but those systems are still around because they give players the opportunity to really invest in the franchises they are present in. I am a simple mid core player, and as much hate as you got for D1 I understood the obstacles the game faced up to release and under that lens thought it was a masterpiece and the first step towards a legendary new franchise. I can't speak for all of the dedicate community, but let US bring you people, don't let the casual audience shape your game, they will leave in a month anyway once the next APEX equivalent comes out and leave the game catered to a flimsy and shallow group of people who you nor anyone else can hold for very long, there are changes and content the core community screams for on a daily basis (some of which is just sitting in an old hard drive somewhere) that we don't get because the fairweather crew yells louder. Do you need a monthly sub? Take it! Ive talked to tons of my clanmates and friends who have agreed that this game could be the one they spend 90% of their time on if it had comparable content drops to the leading MMO's of our time. I know you are all diligently working on D3 and if this is all planned for that anyway than kindly disregard me, I can wait, because I really do beleive the universe and game you have created is the best on the market today. Also, quit with the handcannons... We get it.
