Gambit is fun. Especially when played with a good team.
The game just has a few issues that Bungie needs to fix.

Yeah, the instaburn strategies just ruin the momentum. I probably play gambit most when I log on (which is less and less often) but I'm a solo player and the melts just tank the enjoyment level

I am getting better all the time. My Titan and Warlock are getting near 650. I enjoy the activity level of Gambit. I have gotten better at defeating the invader. That’s always fun.👍👍
