Chili without beans is just greasy meat soup. You need beans to add substance, son. Gotta have some starch.
Chili without beans is just greasy meat soup. You need beans to add substance, son. Gotta have some starch.
And chili with beans, is just greasy meat soup with bland, cheap ass filler. Beans ain't substance, meat is. You want starch boy? Eat a potato.
-
If your beans are bland, you’re doing it wrong kid.
-
If you need to add beans to chili, you're doing it wrong little guy.

Depends what kind of chili.
-
Nope. You can say, "Chili with beans". But. Chilli, has no beans.
-
'Round here, we use chili beans when makin' chili. Dunno what they're actually called, but we refer to 'em as chili beans 'cause they are a key ingredient in chili. 'Round here, there's chili, and then there's chili without beans, which is weird.
-
Agreed. Any chili in my neck of the woods that ain’t got no beans ain’t chili. It’s just saucy meat. Round these parts, chili is it’s own meal. You think otherwise? Go’on an git.
you ain’t gittin? Bronson. Got dat there rope. We gonna hang us a city boy
Funny that, seein' as how beans in chili is a city boy communist (let's make it for everyone) kinda' thing to do. Agreed, chili is it's own meal, it dont need no hippy dippy, fruity tooty, nancy boy, beans in it. Real chili can stand on it's own.
Funny thing is, I bettin' that I'm the only one here who can look out his winda', and can see horses, cows and farmland a hunnert feet away...
-
Well, I’m a city slicker fer sher sonny and I can’t see horses out mah winda but 1 street over yonder and I drive by a fellas property with a number of em. And on my 45 minute drive to work I pass by 3 dairy farms, 5 orange orchards and 3 almond orchards, too many grape vineyards to number and 4 wineries. I may not be in the boonies like yerself but it’s a part of my life I see everyday. I’ll say this bout chili WITH beans... it tops all. Maybe I’m just partial to beans being half Mexican.

Lol. Yes that I understand, know, and love as well. But I grew up more with the Oakie side of my family. My grandpa and grandma only ever had homemade chili with beans and it’s just what I’ve come to enjoy more. After 39 years of eatin it with beans, I just can’t go back.

I love a good ol' fashioned hangin'. Can we burn some witches next???
