As a Titan main since the glory days in destiny 1 I personally feel that something is missing from titans in d2. This being the beloved bubble in its original glory I.e weapons of light. I have a simple rework idea that could bring back the bubble in its full glory and make top tree sentinel as viable and important as top tree hammers I.e melting point. Completely Replace sentinel from top tree with ward of dawn which buffs players with both weapons (35% buff) and blessings. Is this extreme? Yes unfortunately and at first it sounds like a lot of people would be annoyed about it BUT hear me out, ever since commander was introduced no one can deny that it has the best add clear and damage potential in both pve and pvp (regarding sentinel as a whole) plus no one can deny that it can block sooo much damage compared to the tiny top tree shield. This is what I think titans need to reclaim their role as the 'defender' of the team. I simply can't stand another minute of watching warlocks do all the support that we once did in destiny 1 (no hate to warlocks I'm happy you guys are in this state 🙂 ) please vote and share your thoughts with me.

helm of st 14 could now stack a second blessing of light on players that enter the bubble.
People will say just use banner shield for the damage buff, let’s get real about this it’s only a 25% buff and it requires a player to be COMPLETELY unavailable to do damage. Plus honestly I find it very boring to just stand around and stare at a boss when I could be utterly destroying him with my team.

The humongous earth shattering "clang" when launching hammers sends every opposing Guardians near and far skittering away like bugs with the light turned on. Whereas the new Warlock and Hunter Supers are each virtually silent and launch much faster (and are more deadly). Then they nerfed the Titan's Ursa Furiosa gauntlets that had helped to make it a little more equal.

I'll be honest never was a bubble Main always a striker and I read the first part about missing something and I agree well is armor and weapons mixed why can't the bubble get one or the other or both back? It won't be as op with as the well since you have to drop the shield to go out and do damage.

3 RepliesI think my biggest issue with the bubble is how vulnerable you are inside. Blade Barrage goes right through and kills everyone inside np. I could see that it destroys the bubble but to do both is ridiculous. Same for lock Nova. They warp inside and it's over. We can't shoot out and are basically sitting ducks. I'd like to see it where if you come inside the bubble your powers are surpressed and supers can damage the bubble but not one shot it and kill everyone inside.

I'm a titan main and I'm fine with it how it is. Titans are Tanks/Defenders, not a support class like warlocks

No thanks. I like having the option of popping a bubble or slaying. Both serve their purpose.

I think id rather just have another exotic to come out that gives WoD weapons of light, just so its less retuning of the skill tree.

The bubble itself needs a HUGE buff in how much damage it can absorb, it bothers me a little bit that my shield can tank a direct hit from literally any super in the game(including a blade barrage at point blank range) but the Bubble can’t survive anything. All the bubble does is tell all the hunters “hey I’m over hear guys...come melt me”. I agree with your idea, hell at this point I’ll agree to anything that makes the bubble even a little bit stronger. I also agree with simply removing the roaming aspect of top tree being that the middle and bottom tree already do that. Remove the roaming aspect and buff it in every other aspect...however if they can’t do this without breaking the game or the subclass , I’d rather them not do anything to it at all...you know how bungie likes to fix something and break 8 other things in the process.

The old bubble was great I hear you but you were constantly in and out of it this is stationary and much more simplified.

I made a mention about how to bring back weapons and armor of light a bit back to Cosmo. First by the way a petition would be one way to get their attention,so hint hint new thread. But anyway I proposed this to a couple friends a bit back. Catalysts. Begin to introduce catalysts to exotic armor pieces. One could go to Saint-14. Once gained it's options could be unique, to toggle armor or weapons of light, blessings could be default. Just a idea.

1 ReplyI've been a Titan main since D1 as well and if we are being 100% honest the bubble is absolutely useless in D2 (aside from the beginning cutscene with zavala). Unless the forges provide an area in which players are completely overwhelmed there is no reason to bust out the bubble. D1 nothing beat it's buffs, but bungie decided warlocks should be better at ad clearing and support. While I agree it needs something, and miss saving the team or adding extra damage, well of radiance is just superior in every way and I don't want a weaker version of it. Personally I've never understood why it doesn't have a serious "damage over time" mechanic, something akin to the aftershocks from fists of havock. Also wouldn't mind if it had a cast kill radius. Then at least you could panic cast and take a player out.

Damaging the bubble will have it continuously generate orbs (small) with no cap. Grant commander a more powerful weapons of light that boosts damage by 40%. Dedicating myself to block should be far more valuable than just running in and hitting everything. Or 30% but allies shooting through the shield can proc detonators that they too can explode?

1 ReplyTitans are the wall. That sometimes means taking yourself out of the fight so your team can murder anything in front of you. Bubble Titan is perfectly fine the way it is right now. It does what it says, and yeah sure it doesn't have weapons and needs an exotic for blessings, but I tell you what. Lets see the enemy kill you with heavy in the bubble. This isn't D1. Learn to adapt or just use a different class. Bubble hard counters invasions in gambit, it hard counters pushes in PVP, and it hard counters adds in PVE. It isn't supposed to be a cure-all. It is supposed to be a wall of light to block and protect. Just my opinion though. Bubble is fine

1 ReplyThat banner shield also depends on of you have teammates that realize 1. You can shoot through it 2. It buffs damage Have alot of teammates that avoid that damage buff like the plague
