Sentinel hit registration

Is sentinels super hit registration ever going to be fixed? It’s been a problem since release and I can’t find anything on bungie ever acknowledging it. It really sucks wasting your whole super bashing the same enemy over and over just saying. Let’s make bungie aware please!

    • I love how people think sentinal is perfectly fine because it has good abilities to make up for it 😂😂 okay. Lets say warlocks well of radiance doesnt give health regen to the player who placed it, well it shouldnt be fixed because it heals everyone else!!! Or how about this? Hunter golden gun doesnt kill on a obvious hit, well it gets more shots so it doesnt matter. If something is broken it needs a fix. I can hit a target in PvE or PvP 2+ times and not do damage when it should have been a hit n kill in the first place. I run mask of the quiet one and sometimes i depend on that kill to get my health regen. But when the target doesnt even take damage that sometimes leads to my death. Its not like it happens on every hit, but at least once per super i use, there is a hit that isnt registered. Thats a issue. When the super is working 100% you crucible cry babies and talk about nerfs and whats next in line to ruin.

        • I'm not really a Titan main (Used to be I. D1 when I first played my 4 weeks, 5th, I became a hunter) But I had my fair share of being sentinel in the crucible. And I also hope they fix it's hit registration, it's really all the super needs. I want a fair fight with my staff against your shields Titans!

          • Sounds like your madly mashing the butting and thinking it’s supposed to do all the work for you. Just a tip - AIM then hit precisely where you want to go . Pretty cool huh. Who would’ve thought !

                • Considering the ridiculous tracking and rebound the shield has when you throw it I would say it’s more than fair that the melee doesn’t even work.

                    • Not an issue on my end. I just jump to get the big shield bash to proc faster, always works.

                      • I'm most frustrated when im trying to kill a super with sentinel and do no damage what's so ever even tho it should, at the very least, results in a trade. Ex) I popped my sentinel on a dawn blade on the castle/plane map -I forgot its name-. I blocked his first attack. I hit him twice... I end up dead and boosts away like nothing ever happened.

                          • I noticed that most of the time the hit registration is wonky is when I’m trying to hit someone that’s in the air. Most of the time it’s fine.

                          • Yep it sucks. I just hit a hunter 6 times and he didn't die or take any damage.. the shield throw is fine

                            • Its amazing that after a year plus of us giving feedback about this it remains completely ignored by bungie. Mask of the quiet one does not work at all. Bungie does live hunters though.[spoiler]but spectral blades is already getting fixed.[/spoiler]

                              • Having used sentinel quite a bit if I don’t hit its because I missed. Also use the throwing shields, so much more effective than melee attacks and it keeps you away from shotgunners

                              • Omfg. Are people still bitching about this. Really? There are multiple people who dominate with the sentinel subclass. You need to stop complaining and practice. I'm sorry that the subclass isn't as fancy as you want it to be with over powered areas of effect but get over it already. The sentinel subclass is bested used as it's intent you block get close to the enemy and then bash them in the head. An if that doesn't fit you throw the shield it bounces off of everything and tracks being able to put two to three players down in one throw. I have seen this done and I have been on the receiving end of that super many times. It all falls to you need to practice with it.

                                • Sentinel is all I use on my titan and I have never noticed hit detection problems with it. Maybe you don’t have perfect accuracy all the time?

                                  • I know what your talking about, it was fixed once the new sentinal sub tree cam out then they made some update and the bash went right back to being inconsistent. Idk bungie seems to not care about stuff like that.
